Congratulations, Newt!! The Gingrich Revolution begins here and begins now!!

Thank you very much, South Carolina!! Thank you very much, Rick Perry!! And now it's on to Florida!!

Free Republic is all in for Newt and the rebellion is on!!

I'm understanding from his debates and his website that Newt wants to totally dismantle the Marxist/socialist welfare state, fire the czars, repeal ObamaCare, repeal Dodd-Frank, repeal Sarbanes Oxley, privatize social security and medicare, return all federal socialist welfare programs to the states and the people to be controlled locally or shuttered, audit and neuter the Fed, fire Bernanke, fire the EPA, shutter the federal departments of Health, Education, Energy, Housing, Commerce, Labor, Welfare etc, etc, drastically cut the government, cut the bureaucracy, cut the regulations, cut the taxes, cut the deficit, reduce unemployment, restore jobs, restore manufacturing, industry, energy production, restore the constitutional balance of powers between the branches and between the feds and the states and the people, rein in the liberal activist judiciary, restore states rights and restore our God-given unalienable individual rights and stop the slaughter of the innocent unborn!!

In short, to set our people free to produce, prosper and enjoy the fruits of their own labor, ie, restore our constitution and God-given unalienable rights to Life, Liberty and the PURSUIT of Happiness!!

And I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically endorse and join with Newt in this rebellion for a restoration of our constitutionally limited government, our states rights and our individual rights!!

We the people are the sovereigns. Government derives its just powers at the consent of the governed. Whenever any form of Government becomes destructive to our God-given Liberty, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness!!

I pray that we are doing the right thing for God, Country and Liberty and believe that we are. We must retake control of our government and our Liberty from our Godless liberal establishment and wannabe rulers, overseers and dictators!!

We must leave a stronger, freer, more prosperous America for our children and grandchildren.

Securing the Blessings of Liberty for ourselves and our posterity is our duty and our mission!!

He has many of the same past “indiscretions” on policy that Romney has (federal healthcare mandate, global warming etc.)

Actually you've fallen for 2 MSM fallacies. Gingrich testified to Congress AGAINST Crap and Tax the same day that Gore testified for it.

He also never liked individual mandates. He says a free market approach to healthcare works.

You're right, my friend. The purpose of their FR lives was disruption, and they're bound to retread and try it again. They have ten months, after all. If the Republican nominee wins, it won't stop even after the election though.

In fact, I got a FReepmail from a zottee, who had retreaded THE SAME DAY, attempting to convince me that he is a Conservative and didn't deserve the zot. I narked on him because I had read his posting history.

But sometimes I answer back, especially if I can catch them before they get zotted again.

I know he is not a conservative...if you read my post, there were several people that I was supporting (and still am supporting in Santorum’s case) against Romney. But I do not support Newt over Romney. Newt is not as conservative as his rhetoric indicates. What was all of that bashing of Bain Capital - that was infantile and distressing for those of us in favor of a free market economy. What about his attack on Paul Ryan? And I keep going back to his pathetic personal behavior - that will not play well in a general election and it makes us hypocrites in my mind when we think back to how we were opposed to Clinton and his personal behavior. That type of behavior compromised Clinton in office and it could compromise Gingrich. He would make a better chief of staff or press secretary than president.

And Romney’s record shows that he is THE EXACT SAME as Obama.

Considering how badly Romney lies, you really think he’d tell the truth on just that one, would you?

It's called vetting since Romney is RUNNING on his record at Bain. And they got government money. McCains opposition research on Romney and Bain has been published and Romney is NOT squeaky clean.

Since he is using Bain as a qualifier for running are you suggesting that he gets a pass?

I think Romney made a mistake defending Bain in that way - what I don’t like is Newt saying that Bain made too much. I could care less what Newt does in his personal life - as long as he isn’t running for president. I don’t know why it doesn’t count that I am for Santorum and every other conservative over Romney - I just think Newt has too much baggage and his actions in private and public do not match up with his rhetoric.

Clinton broke laws because he was covering up for personal indiscretions. You have no clue how much I am on free republic - I usually don’t post, because I usually agree with most things, and frankly I don’t have time homeschooling 5 kids. They are all schooled in conservatism and the free market, plus we listen to Rush everyday. So don’t talk about me being clueless - you don’t know me. All I am doing is posting my opinion. I agree, Romney is not conservative - I will reiterate that out of the 4 people left in the race, I am for Santorum. But if it comes down to Newt and Romney, I am going to have to support Romney.
