I know he is not a conservative...if you read my post, there were several people that I was supporting (and still am supporting in Santorum’s case) against Romney. But I do not support Newt over Romney. Newt is not as conservative as his rhetoric indicates. What was all of that bashing of Bain Capital - that was infantile and distressing for those of us in favor of a free market economy. What about his attack on Paul Ryan? And I keep going back to his pathetic personal behavior - that will not play well in a general election and it makes us hypocrites in my mind when we think back to how we were opposed to Clinton and his personal behavior. That type of behavior compromised Clinton in office and it could compromise Gingrich. He would make a better chief of staff or press secretary than president.
