And that means precisely what?
It means that they were SO overconfident that their hit piece with Newt's 2nd wife was going to sink him, that Sunday's invitation was meant to humiliate him and finish him off.
Of course, since he just "Nuked it from orbit" during the CNN debate, they don't have a plan B, and anything's better than sitting around for an hour on Sunday morning with their thumbs up their keesters.
Either that, or Newt is (rightly) so P.O.'ed at what they tried, that he canceled the appearance at the last minute just for spite.
Go get 'em, Newt!

Polls close here at 7PM. I talked to the poll workers at noon and they were impressed with the turnout. A storm was coming through as we voted but lots of traffic coming into the parking lot as we were leaving. Several Newt stickers. Very encouraging!

South Carolina is cool with that. They have an open primary.
Turnout at my polling place in Lexington was “steady”. I saw about 10 vehicles pulling in and out in the 5 minutes I was there, and it was raining.
The rain is ending here in the next 10 minutes so the weather will be clearing in Columbia, Greenville-Spartanburg, Aiken and Rock Hill area for the remaining 2 1/2 hours.
Myrtle Beach and the Lowcountry will be getting rain for the next few hours.
It’s not really dramatically affecting turnout from what I can see, people are out shopping, etc. and traffic is normal for a Saturday despite the rain.
The impact, if any, will be on iBamas getting out to vote for Ron Paul; we’ll just have to wait and see when the final results are in.
