Don’t be. Romney runs strongest in the Cities, but when the map fills in, it will be mostly Gingrich carrying the small/moderate counties in the 35-40% range along with Greenville. Romney’s totals will probably come in quicker, but once they are in, that’s it, won’t be many places to pick up more votes.

Way back when, I was accused of being a DU troll on FR. I honestly didn’t know what DU was, so I asked. I got a link and took a look. One of the very few times I’ve actually been enraged at what I read on a website. It’s been a long time but the posters were saying something along the lines that they were glad that some of our servicemembers had been killed as it would turn opinions against the military action in question.
I’ve never been back. And never will be. If you can go into that asylum, then God bless you. I can’t.
I think they’re going by an overwhelming win in the exit polls. Actual votes are barely in yet. That makes me think the margin of victory is going to be pretty big for Newt. Hopefully double digits, I’d guess more like 8 points.
Only 7 precincts of 2,136 have reported so far (I earlier mistakenly said 7%)
We should all thank ABC, CNN, and Fox news for their help in the debates giving Newt Gingrich a boost in the polls!

I was so downhearted Thursday morning when Perry dropped out, but when I read his exit speech I felt a lot better. What a gracious, patriotic thing for him to do. The icing on the cake was Thursday night’s debate and Newt’s smackdown of John King.
I am so proud of our feisty state tonight.
Don’t like the way FOX is touting the numbers - they are switching up and down for Newt vs. Romney.
Hope they are not playing games with the exit polls so that Romney can be the ‘comeback kid’.

I’m sure that’s true. It’s scary that the networks know the results almost BEFORE we vote.
I’m sure all the Santorum voters will break Newt when he bows out and that will give Newt a safe majority.
They’re still calling Florida for Romney but they were calling SC for Romney 2 weeks ago.
Wonder if Romney will debate in Florida... he hasn’t planned to.
They also give the TY from Newt to SC and passED on the information regarding the money bomb for NewT in Florida

I hate seeing Romney @ 40%, and Gingrich at 32%. Obviously, there’s a reason the media unanimously and quickly called it for Gingrich.

Perry is the best of all of them, But you can’t deny Newt! The rest are media fodder!
I don't sit and crunch numbers at the altar of the polls the way some do, but I do take an interest in them.
I'm thinking that Newt will beat Romney by five to ten percentage points at least, and that Santo and Paul will finish close to each other, perhaps ten percentage points or so behind Mitt.
That's only a guess, based on what I'm reading on the thread. I'm not monitoring any other information sources.
I would have to go with Newt but with some misgivings....
