Rising human carbon dioxide emissions may be affecting the brains and central nervous system of sea fishes with serious consequences for their survival, an international scientific team has found.
Carbon dioxide concentrations predicted to occur in the ocean by the end of this century will interfere with fishes' ability to hear, smell, turn and evade predators, says Professor Philip Munday of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies and James Cook University.

I have heard everything, this is the equivalent of demons possessing pigs for the new green religion!
ROLF
Too much in my beer makes me crazy.
I’ll just tell all the fishermaen I know to forget the worms, just buy a can of beans!!
Guess these people has nothing better to do. LOL
Libtards like me can come up with this crap faster than legitimate science can shoot it down!
Actually, idiot professors who blather on about what will happen to fish a century from now drive me crazy.
Yea, and my pa said it was the alcohol, now science has solved this little mystery
Somebody has been smoking the coral reefer again.
This explains why they’re not hitting on my Rapala...
Holy Carp!
It would seem to me that if levels were high enough to bother fish, that humans would be the first concern.
I guess that’s 1950s Father Knows Best, neanderthal, white man thinking and all.
My first concern would be if the fish could still find the hook.
Damn,
Now we have to pay for “Mental Healthcare” for the little bastards...
The earth has seen far higher amounts of carbon dioxide in the air in the past, and yet somehow these fish managed not to go “crazy” enough to die off (or else evolution furnished them to us today). Why has Gaia gone brittle all of a sudden?
Women and minority fish, of course, are hardest hit.
Of course, the women and children fish will be hardest hit.
Oh, and the clowns, of course. Sad clowns.
GMTA
Left-wing idiots make fish crazy.
It is my opinion, “Professor Munday”, if that’s really your title, that YOU are consuming far too much oxygen as to benefit mankind, and you should cease immediately.
So, one of the main gasses released from volcanoes is carbon dioxide and yet fish survive.
The amount CO2 emissions created by humans over our history can’t even be close to what a volcano emits in one eruption. Just say’n
If so, won't it slow down the predators, as well?
Moreover another member of this institute is complaining about the dropping number of reef sharks. He says that healthy reefs need more sharks--i.e., predators. Maybe they should get together on the same wavelength.
