Give Newt a little money, and the TV exposure that comes with WINNING South Carolina, and he can drive those negatives up, that millions have been spent driving down.

He’s unpopular and my hope is that he knocks Romney off his stride before fading away.

Amen! Newt's already got HIGHER favs than the Mormon Lib in SC.. Florida's next.

SC + FL = Newt's the nom. Hmmmmmmm.....

I'll take the forgiven candidate not the cultist...

Prediction:

Newt 40 (McLame had 33) Willard 29 (Huck had 30) Paul 15 (Fred had 15) Santorum 9 (WR had 14)

Let’s wait and look at his favorability AFTER a campaign, instead of before.

I would MUCH rather lose with the guy that agrees with me most of the time (Newt) than “win” with the guy that has NEVER had myc back on any conservative issue.

Mitt Romney (D-Mass) can go pound sand.

IF Romney gets the nom I will feel a little better knowing he had to work for it a little bit.
If Gingrich is our next President I hope he surrounds himself with solid conservatives.
If Santorum makes it beyond SC I hope he challenges them all until which time he drops out.

This more than anything else illustrates how Republicans are committing political suicide by nominating Newt Gingrich. These numbers show that roughly half of the voters will not vote for Newt. Let’s find a candidate who has much lower unfavorability numbers before it’s too late.

I’ll vote for Newt even though he disgusts me. So how in the hell are we going to get this man elected?! He’s a pig. This is going to be really tough folks.

that’s what elections are for.

Reagan was down massively against Carter almost all the way to election day.

Nominating Gingrich would have the same effect on Democrats as the Dems nominating Nancy Pelosi would have on Republicans and conservatives.

Crawl. Over. Broken. Glass. To. Vote. Against.

People seem to forget how hated Gingrich was when he was Speaker. Except they haven’t forgotten.

Ever wonder why obama has to clear out and entire amusement park to give a speech for the sake of security? It’s not because he’s loved...

He will lose at least 5% in the women's vote over 2008 McCain. That's a lot of votes to make up, as things now stand.

That is why the media will do everything they can to help him win the GOP nomination. Outside of Paul, Gingrich is the only other person in the race, including the others that dropped out, that might not beat Obambi.

Oh yeah, the interview with his wife, nothing more than a way to make conservatives mad at the media and feel sorry for Gingrich. After they help him win the nomination, next summer the real attacks on Gingrich will start. Forget the cheating on his wife - they are sitting on all the back room deals he engineered over the years, all the favors he did for lobbyist - by the time they are finished America will hate him even more than they do now.

You want to motivate the left to vote for Obambi, run the most hated republican(next to Bush) in the country against him. He will be portrayed as a grumpy old man, a career corrupt politician, a blowhard with a bad temper.

The most politically inept group of clowns in the last 50 years are about to once again turn a sure win into a real fight, probably a loss. Republicans are foaming at the mouth to see Gingrich go after the Fraud in three televised debates. They can hardly wait to see him attack Obambi, get all their rage out as they watch Gingrich go after him.

They are missing the entire issue. It isn’t about badgering him in a debate, it’s about defeating him, sending him into the dustbin of history where he belongs. The debates will be sanitized like they always are.If anything any attacks on Obambi will be spun as mean-spirited, paint Gingrich as a loose canon, a hothead.

I wish I could say, it won’t matter, we can form a third party after the GOP finally destroys itself, but it will be too late. Four more years of this socialist hack and America will be changed forever, the shift towards a European socialist model will be to embedded into America.

I pray the GOP come to their senses and select someone who will not make it close. I listen to them all calling into talk radio now, giddy over Gingrich, and wonder if they will come to there senses. They have such a history of making mistake after mistake, I see no reason they don’t make another.

True. Added to that, the vast majority of eligible voters haven’t watched a single GOP debate. A lot of them wouldn’t even be able to identify a picture of Gingrich. Romney’s been running for president for nearly 7 years, and he benefits from higher name recognition.

Job One for RIGHT NOW is for Newt to work his way into
domination in the primaries, and get the nomination.
Part of this process will involve winning a personal popularity contest against Romney from the wide Republican electorate. It’s no question that Newt has , or will have the overwhelming majority of the Tea Party vote.Romney has virtually NONE of it, Santorum a little, and I don’t think Paul has enough of it to matter.
There could be TWO Newts developing over the next several months: the first one is the Newt, in full swing now, who must beat Romney, while at the same time creating an impression that he is the one with the skills and passion to defeat Obama, and the SECOND NEWT will and can only come into play once he GETS the nomination: THAT Newt will be in full
attack mode as he carefully lays out how and why Obama must be beat.So Newt has his work cut out for him working in effect on two fronts at the same time, deftly juggling two objectives and not dropping either of them for very long.
He must ALSO be the one to continue keeping the MSM in line, going forward, and we know from experience he’s already been good at that. He’s shrewd enough to know also, that even though he’s getting the brunt of it, the MSM has been unfair to the other candidates, attacking them on behalf of the Obama Administration. It’s a curious dynamic that’s developed here.
Newt’s the only one I trust.

The polls are skewed so people believe romney can beat obama, when in fact they want to run against romney and are scared of Gingrich.
