A Bitter Ex-Wife Receives More Coverage Than a Video of Obama Dining with Terrorist-Supporters
American Thinker ^ | 01/20/2012 | By Lauri B. Regan

As I watch the media circus surrounding Marianne Gingrich's interview regarding her relationship with her ex-husband and GOP candidate, Newt Gingrich, I am once again reminded of the double standard afforded to the Democrats and Barack Obama in particular. Coming on the heels of the Herman Cain melee in which the press had a field day parading one accuser after another before video cameras, it is difficult not to repeat the question of why the Democrats get a free pass. Why are calls for Mitt Romney to release his tax return not met with calls for Barack Obama to release his college transcripts -- something that is just as customary for presidential candidates?

However, of greater importance in my view is the silence, save for a few journalists and pundits on the right, regarding exposing a videotape recorded in 2003 of Barack Obama at the farewell dinner for terrorist-supporting Palestinian Rashid Khalidi. News of the videotape's existence came to light while Obama was a candidate, and the free pass given to him by the mainstream media was only just beginning to come to light when the enamored Chris Matthews' shared news of the tingle up his leg.

While the birthers' demands did draw some media attention, it was mostly negative and only made fun of the supposedly crazy loons on the far right who apparently were representative of all petty and irrational conservatives. No one seemed to notice that Obama had not written a single article while serving as editor of The Harvard Law Review, and no one pressed the issue of Obama's suppressed college and law school transcripts since it was a given that his brilliance was perhaps surpassed only by the likes of Albert Einstein.

Well, for those who don't know this, there apparently is a a videotape sitting in the vaults of the Los Angeles Times that ought to be of interest to Americans who value national security.

In April 2010, Roger L. Simon published an article on PajamasMedia entitled, "Why is the L.A. Times Burying the Obama/Khalidi Tape?"  Of further consequence is why the media -- and Americans -- are not demanding that the L.A. Times immediately release the tape.

I eat lunch by the tube during the week and flip from CNN to FOX to MSNBC, and I wish I had the folks who claim FOX is biased with me. FOX is genuinely trying to be balanced, including having liberal commentators on, while the other two? Yesterday they had a fawning interview with the fawning (and frankly scary-looking) Fahreed Zacharia, the hostess and subject slobering all over Obama, while MSNBC can’t get enough of the Wisconsin governor’s recall drive. Both have multiple reporters who speak of PRESIDENT OBAMA with tones of worship, and say demeaning and insulting things about Republicans who are trying to ‘stop’ and ‘defeat’ Obama’s political moves without any examination of the politics of those moves (oil pipeline, etc).

So this is nothing. The media simply don’t care that they’re unbiased now, as they think they have a higher calling—not to Truth, but to Good.

I didn't care for Newt until this bitter "Ex" attack. Now I've run shutdown on anything Marianne thinks, does, or says in male solidarity. (We've all been on the receiving end of a woman scorned) Sorry, man, it's just your turn in "the box".

Maybe womens thinking will be solidarity behind Marianne because "we've all been on the receiving end of an A-hole male". That's the solidarity thing women sometimes do.

But men will rally around the male, buy him a drink at the bar and try to make him understand we've all got DNA level empathy for "his turn".

It is long overdue for the “media” be held to the same standards of disclosure as the candidates. The more thy scream, the closer we are to who and what they really are...

Great line from the article:

Like Brokaw said: “There are so many things about Barack Obama we don’t know...”

I’m still curious about the story of him taking a large sum of advance money from Simon and Schuster, then not delivering one word of a book.

I guess he has no problem taking money from a big, bad corporation. My parents taught me to always honor a contract, no matter how painful — and there have been some very painful times.

Makes me wonder if he also had student loans that were never paid...

I don’t blame the bitter ex-wife. I blame Newt for having a bitter ex-wife.

It takes two to tango.

And besides it’s none of our business. We weren’t there.

There’s a country to save.

His advisors told Lincoln that Grant was a drunkard. Lincoln said to find out what he drank and he would send him a barrel, becasue he fights!

Let’s face it—we need a fighter. Mittwit is no different than Obama, just in the wrong party. Rupaul is a fruit loop. Santorum is not ready for primetime.

Regardless of who is to blame, we need a fighter.

For your family, for my family—we need someone who can take on the Dems and media machine and pummel them.

Otherwise, it is game over for America.

Well, sir, you are correct on the social circles and opinions that men and women establish amongst themselves.

However, when a man does this to a woman more than once, he's got a problem and in the case of Newt I have always believed him to be a narcissist. AND we already have one of them residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

This old woman doesn’t sympathize with the ex! She sounds like a bitter hateful woman who lost her meal ticket
and social standing and ‘somebody is finally going to pay.’
I would never trust Newt but then I don’t plan on marrying him. I do think however that he will be one of the most
intelligent and free thinking presidents we’ve ever had.He will need to stick to the agenda of reducing government and all
the other platforms he is running on and that is why there are advisors.

I remember that hidden tape. I was so pissed that I tried to get some other freepers together to run a banner plane for $1700 to fly above the building with “LAT-Release the tape!”. Sadly we came up short. Sadder was the fact we had to try and force the media to report the news.

...a reliable source that "the audio tape clearly picks up the toast 'death to Israel'." Did Obama drink to the death of an American ally that he has been actively intimidating, browbeating..

... it was a given that his (Obama's) brilliance was perhaps surpassed only by the likes of Albert Einstein.

That's a a good dig and use of sarcasm but Lauri B. Regan didn't go far enough. To what the leftist 'experts' with pipes and smoking jackets REALLY have said about Barry's IQ (aka: brilliance) and Einstein's.

There's scores of 'IQ Websites' that list the factual or 'estimated IQ' of famous people. Einstein and Obama being on all lists. And that's where the laughs start.

Einstein's IQ is listed by all of them as being 160 - which is pretty friggen good (understatement of the last two millenniums). But Obama's is where you have to make sure you're not drinking anything as you'll blow it out your nose with laughter.

No actual IQ test score for Barry exists but that doesn't stop them, no way Jose. So they use the factual IQ data from all other Harvard Law Students. And those 'boys' average out at an AMAZING 180!!! Now, since Obama went to school there and graduated with the other genius's, it naturally follows that Obama's IQ is also 180, so they list that. Yep, no kidding. Einstein's IQ is 'only' 160 but Obama is waaaaaay more intelligent and has him beat by 20 IQ points with a 180!

Yet that man whose 'smarter than Einstein' can't put two sentences together without a Teleprompter. So what's up with that? Like maybe that '1' should not be before the '80'. Which from watching and listening to him sounds about right.

Obama is 10 IQ points below average intelligence. and in the olden days would be called a 'Dullard'. [68 - 84, Dullness]

Trust me. The media will not lose this battle. They know how to twist the minds of the sheeple and they have become more brazen about it since Clinton.
