Say what you will about Mitt Romney, but here are two words youll never hear him utter: Open marriage.
I raise this only because Ive noticed something lately about another of the Republican candidates, namely Newt Gingrich. Women dont like him. I mean, they really detest him.
This problem predates last nights Nightline interview with his second wife, Marianne, who proved once again that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
Good luck avoiding those ABC sound bites today, now that theyre all in the public domain.
Whether or not either of his first two wives was on her sickbed when he first broached the D-word to her, thats the story thats out there. Youve heard of the Second Wives Club. Callista is president of the Third Wives Club.
No wonder yesterday in Walterboro, S.C., Newt surrounded himself with hostages, most notably his grandchildren. Message: How can I be a horndog if I have grandkids, not to mention a brother whos a cop who supports the Second Amendment?
Last week Newt was a historian. Now hes a good ol boy.
So what if Newt was livin here, lovin there, lyin in between. Hes not the first pol of whom it has been asked, If fingerprints showed up on skin, wonder whose wed find on you. Yet he gets cut no slack, which in a way is puzzling. We dont know his whole cheatin heart, but it seems that he marries every woman he cheats with. Shouldnt that count for something?
Note how the lamestream media is pummeling Newt, as opposed to the way they treated the now-indicted John Edwards in 2008. Edwards had a knocked-up New Age gal pal who had picked him up in a singles bar in Manhattan. He was using campaign cash to keep her and the unborn love child on the lam, shuttling them from one posh resort hotel suite to another, while Edwards loyal aide lied that he was the father of the future Frances. And dont forget the XXX amateur videotapes.
Surely a much more serious breach of marital fidelity than Newts serial adultery? Plus, a federal crime if you believe the U.S. attorney in Raleigh. The Edwards scandal was on the front page of the National Enquirer every week. But the moonbat media was unanimous in its verdict. ... Nothing to see here, move along.
Did I mention that John Edwards is a Democrat?
Being a Republican, Newt obviously knew there would be no Bill Clinton-Jesse Jackson free pass for him. Perhaps thats why he converted to Catholicism a fresh start. Bless me father for I have sinned ...
Will Newt win tomorrow? I know at least two women rooting against him hard.
Newt isn’t hiding his past; everything negative about him is too well known.
What you’re not being told can be found at #20. The MSM won’t tell you the whole truth because then you will admire him for turning his life around.
His wife #2 probably will make a huge stink as Gingrich keeps rising. NOW will probably soon start visibly caring about matters of older morality they thought they had forever left in the dust with Gloria Steinem. (At least that fish eventually found her bicycle.)
If Romney will never mention “open marriage”, will he mention “polygamy”?
The press certainly will.
Howie is a Romneybot...
“it seems that he marries every woman he cheats with. Shouldnt that count for something?”
LOL!
Those are very good points, I had not known them. Could you provide back-up, links, etc?
I ask because I don’t have broadcast tv, nor do I listen to any news (it’s all lies, spin, and smear & I purposefully have to protect my heart from anger - I’m sure you understand :)
Thanks in advance.
Oh!
One more thing.
If you are around on the Newt threads, could you keep reposting this info?
I’m sure there are others like me, who didn’t know this.
Thank you.
This is an important bit of info.
Cheers!
My wife is a woman, (yes, even here in the Gay State) and she despises Newt, and has long been a strong Romney fan. I have to say, as governor he was an excellent manager, and projected a decent public persona. With both houses of the legislature overwhelmingly Democrat, he fought about as effective a fight as possible against the moonbats. Massachusetts is nowhere nearly as liberal as its reputation these days, btw.
Does that putative future god wear magic underwear?
LiM, if “Massachusetts is nowhere nearly as liberal...” are you still lonesome in MA? Thanks for the perspective on Mitt.
He is starting to sound like the liberals in his criticism of the other Repub candidates.
I think I'm going to have to turnout his show until after the election.
And that’s about to come out soon. Seems that Romney’s Grandfather was a practicing polygimist. Mind you, I could care less about any past lives or indiscretions at this time. This country is going down at the speed of light. Just put someone in who can slow it down enough for us to catch a breath and stay focused.
Howie Carr is DevalPatrickRepublican who
pimps Romney endlessly on radio and print
as Carr attacks all conservatives (as here,
including Gov. Palin).
Hey, raccoonradio, please consider taking your ENDLESS
HowieCarr-proRomney columns back to DU,
before you receive the final ZOT
you truly deserve.
He seems to get along well with the sluts.
” Massachusetts is nowhere nearly as liberal as its reputation these days, btw.”
HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!
Could u say that again please and with a straight face this time..! LOL! LOL! LOL! LOL! LOL! LOL!
You LOVE your Romney.
Romney DEFIED the Mass Constitution and instituted
GAY MARRIAGE without authority.
Romney INITIATED RomneyCARE/ObamaCARE.
Romney covered up the BIG DIG.
Romney RAN Mass into the ground.
"As U.S. real output grew 13 percent between 2002 and 2006, Massachusetts trailed at 9 percent.
* Manufacturing employment fell 7 percent nationwide those years, but sank 14 percent under Romney, placing Massachusetts 48th among the states.
* Between fall 2003 and autumn 2006, U.S. job growth averaged 5.4 percent, nearly three times Massachusetts' anemic 1.9 percent pace.
* While 8 million Americans over age 16 found work between 2002 and 2006, the number of employed Massachusetts residents actually declined by 8,500 during those years.
"Massachusetts was the only state to have failed to post any gain in its pool of employed residents," professors Sum and McLaughlin concluded.
In an April 2003 meeting with the Massachusetts congressional delegation in Washington, Romney failed to endorse President Bush's $726 billion tax-cut proposal."

It sounds like Howie Carr is a closet Romney supporter....I don’t know. I took it as he was saying the Dems (always) saying “We can do it. You can’t”.
I’ve been voting since Eisenhower. Gingrich brings shame for the Republican Party IMO. Count three hoping he doesn’t win SC.
I was for Santorum until last debate and last night completely sealed it. You don’t attack fellow Conservatives like he did last night. Newt is the only one who will fight the left.
Pray for America
Newt is a dawg. I don’t particularly like him. As of now, however, he is my choice.
