John King started the night with a question about Newts ex-wifes interview in which she alleged Newt sought an open marriage. Newt answered the question eventually with a denial, but used the oppoturnity to give King a smackdown which will be remembered for a long time.

While I have reservations about Gingrich, I believe he will be the republican candidate and will beat Romney. All that was needed is to have someone who could espouse the conservative position effectively and he can do that. There has not been a republican who could do so since Reagan. If and when he is elected we must hold his feet to the fire of conservatism. He tends to wander off the reservation at times. The total failure of Rinos and Bushbots to upbraid the Bushes when they betrayed their purported conservative values is exactly what led to the catastrophe known as OBAMA. We can not stand by and excuse Gingrich if and when he abandons conservative values.

Money, beyond tv ads, is becoming moot like old style liberal so called journalism.
That smackdown is now free.

I'm almost getting to the point where I could consider supporting Gingrich. Not quite there, but if he keeps laying the wood to the backsides of the press like he did tonight, I'll have to seriously consider it What makes you think he wouldn't continue to do this? He's never been shy in the past. Do you think any of the other candidates will throw punches like Newt? This is exactly what is needed to turn things around in this country.

I am guessing the Zero run media is going to just push people to see Newt as the one than can smack these bozos down once and for all. Show me one instance of the Zero run media going after a RAT - just one. How long did they refuse to report on John Edwards? How about BJ Klintoon? How about Kennedy - both of them?
IT is becoming obvious to anyone paying attention that the media only criticizes Republicans - IT IS OPEN SEASON ON THE GOP.

At this point, I think Newt is the ONLY candidate remaining who can take Obama to the woodshed in debates. Big time. Cant imagine Romney doing it or Santorum.
Agree on Mittens.
America's Pharaoh will refuse to debate just like Nixon refused to debate Vice President Hubert Humphrey, and in 1964 President Lyndon Johnson refused to debate Arizona Senator Barry Goldwater. Barry Zero has nothing but rhetoric and would lose a debate to any of the GOP candidates - and he knows it.

Remember, in this horror age of American Politics, we don’t hold Newt on a pedestal. We’re putting him in our Cannon to END MITT AND END ZERO.
Begin with the end in mind.

That. Was. AWESOME.
I could only wish for one more thing in that exchange...that Rick might have broken in when John King kept pressing and said, “John, stop it. You vicious, little weasel, STOP IT NOW.”

You say most of Newt's supporters are women and I don't doubt that because many women know other women that will say ANYTHING to discredit their ex’s, and the fact that he has his daughters’ support is important to me. (And I am a woman.) My brother says he can now never run for President because his ex-girlfriend (not even wife) would probably say he was Ted Bundy if she could get on TV.

Newt did a good job of distracting but he does have a character problem here.
By the time this thread ends, you're going to envy John King for getting off easier than the beat down YOU'RE getting tonight!

Hes the one, who can give voice to our concerns.
And Newt's "gift" will also serve us well in dealing with leaders of other nations...
To: vbmoneyspender
Kudos to Newt. While he is not my choice I must give him a big hand of applause as well. He smacked that silly smug grin right off of Kings face. All the candidates need to start calling calling out these despicable phony MSM so called journalist just as Newt did tonight. Again, thank you Newt for how you handled yourself tonight.

There was no distracting, the fact the question was not appropriate for a Pres. debate.
The MSM can't even find out about Obama's college records, but every GOP candidate comes under a magnifying glass.
The question was for one reason, to get religious conservatives to vote for Santourm and get Romney the win.
