This might not be a big deal in the end, but it sure has an odd vibe that a foreign company now owns the software used to report precinct level election results in the United States. BlackBoxVoting.org reports:

When you view your local or state election results on the Internet, on portals which often appear to be owned by the county elections division, in over 525 US jurisdictions you are actually redirected to a private corporate site controlled by SOE software, which operates under the name ClarityElections.com.
What could possibly go wrong? Well, consider the following.

There is no integrity to any of the companies that own the voting machine developer.
They have all received bailout money to the tune of billions.
They have a vested interest in maintaining power by the election of candidates favorable to them
They have virtually unlimited resources for wrong doing.
I am sure plenty of American companies would have like to purchase the company, but again, how many have the monetary resources and political clout of Goldman Sachs.
