Juan Williams tried to pin Newt down over his poor kids should be janitors answer from some time ago, and tried to make it about race. Newt took the opportunity to own Williams over asking the question, and got a partial standing ovation for it in the end.

He changes the WHOLE GAME! Come on . . . you have to see it. Think of how this can change the country! He takes the argument to EVERYONE!!! WAKE UP!!!!!
Yeah. I remember when she was Ann Coulter.
I agree. Awesome.
Interesting. Do you typically refer to your fellow citizens as inanimate objects?
Newt was commanding and won the debate hands down, Romney looked weak and gave obscure used car salesman type answers, Paul gave his usual convoluted answers but scored big on the NDAA bill, Perry had his best performance but still too little too late. If we don’t pull our heads out of collective arses and rally around Newt.....we will lose another and possibly our LAST opportunity to get another Reagan Conservative into the Presidency.
“I think Romney got his hat and fanny handed to him tonight”
Newt is cool under pressure, I have to admit that. Nothing like hitting a race baiting question out of the park.
I got that feeling too. This Question/Answer sequence will definitely influence Newt's campaign, and the nomination.
And might I just put some emphasis on your comment "Nothing like . . ."
There truly is "Nothing like" it! No one articulates the conservative message like this. He would turn the night before a Presidential Press Conference into an all-night study session by the Washington press core. When enough answers like this start firing back at your a$$ you best reconsider the content of your questions! Powerful stuff!!
Everything you said- There’s at least two of us, probably more like several hundred thousand.
I agree about Perry's performance, as well as your assessment of his chances of winning the nomination. But he just might have sewed up a win as a VP selection (for Newt). And that would be fine with me.
Gov. Perry’s comment that the end of time bell should have been a gong for Paul was a hoot. Reminds me of the last debate when Paul’s microphone was experiencing feedback and Santorum said, It caught you not telling the truth, Ron. You could see the contempt for Ron Paul (Pot) on all the other candidate’s faces. I hope South Carolina delivers a loud gong for Ron Paul (Pot) after tonight’s performance.
I agree with your assessment. Juan was playing a racial gotcha game.
my compliments

Geez.. how petty of you.... go piss up a rope.
On Juan Williams ignorance and liberal hypocrisy. Did you seeChelsea Clinton’s interview on NBC? It was about a wonderful lady of the Rock Center who helps needy, neglected children.
In the interview she talks about he she teaches young people responsibility. She shows them picking up trash on the side of the road.
Newt talks about responsibility and poor working and earning money and it is a bad thing.
Because all the democrats have to win is a political strategy of racism. AGAIN.
You and I are about the same age. I agree that Newt has emerged head and shoulders over the pack.
I never thought Palin was serious, Bachmann was fingernails on the chalkboard to me, Cain too green. I got behind Perry early, but he proved a step or two slow.
So I came to Newt by elimination. Initially, I figured his baggage is already all out there and his rhetorical skill is unequaled.
He has not disappointed. Even his Bain blast, I see as well calculated to smoke Mitt out and face the fact of the drubbing he will certainly take should, God forbid, he oppose O in November.
I can report that my sister in SC (who is fairly new to having any political interest - Obama woke her up) has come over from Perry to Newt. She probably can bring ten voteds in her extended family in the Upstate.
I”ve been noticealby depressed the last few days esp with the poll numbers, Santorum not bowing out etc. I was home alone too last night. When Juan asked the question, and we should thank Juan for doing so, I stopped washing dishes and walked slowly to the TV. I listened to Newt’s first answer...walked closer...then the next...Then Juan counter punches with the comment about making blacks look bad...and Newt counters with another perfect response...the crowd is cheering...I’m now right on top of the TV and Newt gives it another shot about I73....Is there anything left? Yes...He’s hits a long home run over the center field bleecher talking about every citizen is endowed by his creator to pursue happiness..My face is two inches from the screen... and I’m clapping and cheering like we’ve won the world series...
