A civil war is breaking out among evangelical leaders over allegations of a rigged election and ballot stuffing at a Saturday gathering of religious and social conservatives.
At the meeting about 150 religious conservative activists at the Benham, Texas, ranch of Nancy and Paul Pressler, Rick Santorum supporters claimed the former Pennsylvania senator was chosen on the third ballot as the consensus candidate to try to stop Mitt Romney

Seeing this... It's hard to argue...
One unnamed guy says another unnamed guy told him he saw another unnamed guy put in 3 extra votes.
ITS A MAJOR CIVIL WAR!!!!!!!!!!

How Christian of them.
The prods and the catholics fighting? sounds like Belfast.
How exactly was that done? Were they told that there were free sandwiches in the parking lot? This sounds like a lot of sour grapes from the losing side here.
Talk about rigged votes. What’s going on with the Iowa recount? Can’t these farmers come up with a legitimate vote count after all this time? What are they waiting for? Romney to win South Carolina and then, supposedly, he’s unstoppable? He goes into that primary as the winner of two previous votes and that makes him the frontrunner? If Santorum actually won Iowa, how is Romney the frontrunner with only a win in New Hampshire where he spent millions on ads and has a house?
Is the fix in here? Are they holding back the true Iowa vote to make Romney look like a winner when he has only tied with Santorum? Why don’t Gingrich and Perry drop out and throw their support behind Santorum before it’s too late? Ego problems with Gingrich again?
For what it’s worth, Erick Erickson—who has been decidely pro-Newt and anti-Santorum—attended the meeting and said that the Santorum and Newt camps conducted themselves well, while the Perry, Romney, and Paul camps did not.
Why would Gingrich drop out? He’s well ahead of Santorum in SC. I would agree Perry needs to go.
JC Watts was on FXN saying that Santorum was NOT endorsed. Watts is Newt supporter.
He said Perry's people left committed to Perry and Newt's people left committed to Newt... and Santorum was NOT endorsed.
Watts was there.
This story is extremely vague and unattributed. Someone saw someone do something.
It seems to me that someone put it together in order to undermine Santorum. The Washington Times is not a liberal source, but the Republican Establishment likely has a hand in stirring up trouble for Rick.
I heard Paul Pressler in a live interview this morning, and he says it’s not true.
Or am I taking advantage of a story at your expense?
Interesting and glad to know the vote was scewed because it didn’t make sense.
Sounds to me like someone trying to stir trouble for the winner.
You might notice the same gleeful posters always come running with the bad news.
Maybe it’s because most people don’t think Santorum stands a chance against Romney.
I am tired of the whining screaming babies. People should just vote for who they want.
Good grief.
Well, I hate to say it, but we can no longer legitimately complain about the Establishment Republicans and the mdeia rigging things for Mitt. Sure they wanted that outcome. But the fact that they are going to get it is not their doing alone.
We are doing this to ourselves. Santorum and Gingrich and Perry and their backers are doing their darndest to ensure that Mitt wins.
I think it’s over. And we have no one to blame but ourselves.
And the bitching and backbiting and tearing down of the other guy has been as active here on FR as anywhere.
Is this the meeting Jack Wheeler attended?
