Santorum beat newt in Iowa, tied Newt for 4th in N.H. and according to the latest poll leads New in S.C. I prefer Newt over Santorum but if the idea is to beat Romney it looks so far like Santorum is the better horse. I would think whoever comes in second in S.C. would be one to support. And by second I mean a strong second, not a close second.

Every credible poll shows SC is a two-man race between Gingrich and Romney, with Santorum a distant third or fourth:

Santorum trails Newt by ten points in SC. 24% to 14%.

“and according to the latest poll leads New in S.C”

I sure hope you aren’t taking that Reuters online Bull-Squeeze seriously.

Newt should be the one dropping out, not Santorum. Santorum won the right to stay in with a first place tie in Iowa.

As to Huntsman, his 1 percent in SC will go to Romney and it could be important in a close race at the end.
