Catherine, I appreciate your post but you are wasting time responding to 87.

Everything he said about Perry set a new record for idiocy.

Perfectly stated! I’m so happy not to hear Huntsman speak Chinese again!

Make no mistake, the LDS (Romney/Huntsman)have financial stakes in more business interests than anyone can imagine and the temple would like nothing more than to have a representative in the White House.

For once you and I agree upon something.

Why do we allow 3 states to decide our nominee?

Especially when South Carolina, the largest of those three states has an open primary, and New Hampshire has somewhat of an open primary. NH isn't a fair judgement of GOP candidates anyways - the state is full of establishment New England Republicans.

Romney is a long way away from the nomination, but it sure does sound like some are buying into the MSM's line that SC will decide the election.

I don’t understand the obsession with media polls around here. You people rant and rave about the media, yet some of you act as if that same media would actually conduct a non-biased poll that wasn’t skewed to reach the results that they want you to believe. Don’t you think there’s a certain “disconnect” there in your thinking?

And don’t come back with the “Oh, but these polls are accurate” argument. Have you never heard of the “bandwagon effect?” The more credence you give to the polls, the more people will vote for the apparent “winner.” Duh.

Have you stopped to think how malleable you appear to liberals who come here and read your histrionic replies? Especially for people to drop out before ONE SINGLE CLOSED PRIMARY? Get a grip and stop being manipulated. It’s embarrassing. < /rant >

"What a disappointing weekend. Saints lose. Packers lose.
And now Huntsman is dropping out."

What a beautiful week-end.

Who in heck is Huntsman?

Step right up you losers.

That creep Paul has to be next.

The right thing to do is for Romney to drop out now. There’s no other way he can avoid ignominious defeat ~ either at the convention or at the hands of the Obots.

lol! Actually, THAT one i agree with. :)

Well now Buddy Roehmer moves up into my top five ...

You mean there's hope for Harold Stassen?

(If the deceased can vote, can't they run, too?)

Cheers!

Paul has a sizable and enthusiastic following, but I wonder about his health.

He looks bad and he’s returned to Texas for no discernable reason.

I actually hope he’s ok. He’s the one people should be wondering who his supporters would pick if he were out.

Santorum is just following the Huckabee model right now, with considerably weaker results and less success. There has to be some part of him that realizes by now he is not going to be the GOP nominee.

I watched the CSPAN footage linked here on a FR thread of Newt and Santorum's talks at the panel discussion in South Carolina. I really liked nearly everything Santorum had to say and came away thinking we could do a lot worse ... but also had to acknowledge that his body language, waiting in his seat to go up to the podium while the guy was announcing him and talking about his qualifications -- Santorum was mopping his brow, squeezing his wife's hand as if seeking reassurance --- looking for all the world like a high school kid about to go into the ring in a wrestling match against someone who scared the hell out of him.

Gingrich is the better choice. I hope everyone watches the CSPAN clip of BOTH of them, in its entirety. The contrast is stark.
