Perry has an ego as large as Texas.
His time has come to get behind another person.
This is turning out to be silly. His numbers are just not there. End of story.
Perry’s my governor, and I love his energy and tax plans. BUT, because of the multiplicity of his gaffes, it’s just not going to happen for him, and all he is doing is insuring a Romney nomination. He needs to get out ASAP.
I guess that is why I am libertarian in nature and generally Republican when it comes time to vote.
AU H2o.
All you other folks can exercise your principles to your heart's content.
Good article. I’m happy to support the real conservative in this race, Rick Perry.
Perry was nicer than I would have been, I wish they had poured pig urine on them.
Unless the country’s small band of Perry supporters can quickly persuade the majority of his greatness, all you are doing is giving the nomination to Romney. Perry may be the right person for the job, but he is not going to be the nominee. Sorry.
Right now it has to be Santorum or Gingrich to stop Romney.
Paul is nuts and Perry just doesn’t have the support.
Not bashing him. Just trying to be realistic.
This is a bad move on Perry’s part. Social conservatives have more orthodox candidates to choose from... one’s that don’t scare them with the possibility of seeing a federal government too weak to enforce their demands.
Perry should be going after those that see the federal government as an overreaching behemoth, harassing little girls for selling lemonade and then demanding our taxes to pay for it.
Just look at how many voters are so concerned about this that they are actually voting for Ron Paul, despite his lunacy on foreign policy and the military.
Perry could seriously deflate Paul’s bubble by offering a sane version of that future. Plus, it’d also take many voters from Gingrinch. And that is possibly enough to overtake Romney.
