CHARLESTON, S.C. -- In an event aimed at swaying undecided South Carolina voters, five Republican presidential hopefuls showed up in Charleston to make the case for why they should be the next GOP nominee.
The forum, hosted by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee on Fox News, barred the candidates from attacking or even mentioning each other.

It’s supposed to air in the west at 9:00 p.m. PST on DirecTV. In about half an hour.
There is a connection between Rove and Forti (Romney’s right hand man) Fox News should just come out and declare they support Romney for president and are NO longer fair and balanced. How many on Fox support Mitt? Coulter, Imus, Sabato, Rove and I am sure I am leaving out many names
Yeah, it sounded like maybe two people booed for about a half a second. Big deal. And Fox News is really pi$$ing me off here lately. They did a long segment the other day on the SC primary, and they only talked about Romney and Santorum. No mention of Newt at all, even though he was well ahead of Santorum in the polls at that point. Fox is doing everything they can to marginalize Newt. I can’t believe it, but lately, I seem to be seeing more complete and fair election coverage on MSNBC than Fox.
He wasn’t booed! What lies.
They lie, you buy.
I don’t have a sports or channel package, just a digital antenna for local station that I very rarely watch.
Watching this whole charade unfold without watching television, without seeing or hearing almost all of the campaign commercials, except for news clips and debates that stream online, is a strange thing to behold.
They weren’t booing him, they were just calling “NOOOOOOOOOOOT!”
The headline writer wants to make the voters in SC look like a bunch of Romney goobers ready to lap up his warmed over fascism.
glad to hear it but no...I missed it
One guy called Newt a crybaby this morning on their financial show. I cannot believe the desperation in all these people to marginalize and crucify Newt.
Thanks, sheikdetailfeather.
Have a good weekend.
Huckabee is getting FAT.
Newt answered every question expertly and drew applause- as did Rick Perry.
Its just amazing that the media shamelessly takes one little event out of context, and frames the whole show based on that mischarecterization.
Happy to hear that. I missed the it tonight but I am watching the end of it on a re-run Perry is doing good. I hope that the entire show will be online tomorrow, would like to see all of them.
* missed it

Thanks for the link.
I found the interview I think you’re taking about it.
Newt is exactly right. Romney needs to be exposed for the liberal that he is.
i've been saying for years that life is like a b-movie. Now more than ever.
What a crock!
This is nothing but Bait and Switch
I watched the whole thing and didn’t catch any booing.
But I did blink my eyes and stick a finger in my ear for a second or two.
I watched it last night. It sounded like a couple of people started to boo (Romney supporters). That’s hardly reason for the headline. As a matter of fact, Newt received much applause and had great answers, as usual.
