CHARLESTON, S.C. -- In an event aimed at swaying undecided South Carolina voters, five Republican presidential hopefuls showed up in Charleston to make the case for why they should be the next GOP nominee.
The forum, hosted by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee on Fox News, barred the candidates from attacking or even mentioning each other.

Newt put on a good performance as usual and was well received by the audience. This incident hardly registered and if you didn't have the media pumping it up all day it would have went by without notice.
You are so right!! The mild “boo” was hardly worth mentioning, much less making headlines.
The overblown underwhelming “boo!” is more proof that FauxNews is in the tank for the Mittwit.
They are becoming the Bain of our existence.
The media doesn’t want Newt because he will call them out on their bias and ask them where in the heck their scrutiny of Barry and his records are. They are scared of him.
romney is toxic. hence he’s the establishment choice to run against the One. That’s the One’s best shot at 4 more years of the One.
Fox said they were not allowed to name their opponents by name and Newt did so in respnse to a question and they (Probably Romney voters) booed so he said “let me reword it.” By the way...I am watching it and can tell you that is exactly what happened and he was well received otherwise. Perry is doing very well here too talking about states rights and the people are clapping over him condemning the justice dept coming in and suing the state over voting rights, etc..
What can we expect from the Romney News Corp
Fair and balanced and all
Romney knee pads co chairs:
Cavuto and Hume
Absolute BS. The audience reacted to the fact that Newt broke the forum rules by mentioning Romney, it was not a “boo”. And it was no big deal, more like a slip-up, Newt rephrased his comment and went on without incident.
It was a minor boo! He recovered quite nicely!
This just goes to show what we as Conservatives are up against. We are going against a stacked deck with the msm, RINOs, Fox News, Drudge and a lot more all pulling for Romney and slanting the news in Mitts favor. Just looked at that BS Reuters online poll today as another example. Newt will not be the status quo in Washington. Mitt will be. GO NEWT GO!
Awarding 4 Pinocchio’s to the headline.
It is an absolute. No booing of any kind. This is the type of lying trash the MSM runs on Gingrich all the time. I watched every bit of the show. No one booed, anyone, at
any time. And they should run a story correcting themselves, but pigs will fly first. BUT, during the show the FauxMSNBC ran their ticker tape telling the world about that online bogus poll saying their favorite liberal has a 21 point lead on the opposition and that Gingrich is in forth place. No where does it mention that this is an online poll that is not taken seriously by anyone. FauxMSNBC pimping 24/7 for their favorite liberal to run against their other favorite liberal Barry Hussein Sorreto.
Good grief. The headline/story all day long made it sound like some huge, raucus, vocal rebellion against Gingrich! Figures. FoxNews’ pro-Romney propaganda agenda clearly working overtime. They are becoming embarrassing in their slavishness in carrying the water for Romney.
TBBT,
Don’t know if the actual video is within this thread— but the one minute clip is here.

That ticker is sheer propaganda presented as news. FOX has been very disappointing lately with their blatant bias toward Romney and I will not trust them as I have in the past.
If Romney wins the R nomination based on big machine politics and news media bias, maybe we should start a write-in campaign for John Galt. I’m not sure I can vote for a big machine candidate.
Greta VanSusteren defended Newt last night and asked Huckabee why everyone is jumping on him now that he is defending himself. She said he should have done it before and he is not against capitalism, but against Romney saying he created all those jobs when he did not. She had told Newt before that he had better defend against The attack ads. I cannot even find the video of that interview on her “On The Record” show. No doubt, Fox did not want it up there.
Faux News is really crossing the line...Newt answered the question asked to him and he did not attack Mittens (who cant take the heat but wont get out of the kitchen) “attacking or even mentioning each other.
Newt Gingrich paid little attention to that rule. When asked to “defend the vilification of companies willing to put capital at risk in order to save failing companies,” the former speaker zeroed in on Mitt Romney.
“Governor Romney ran saying he created 100,000 jobs in the private sector. ... I believe it’s fair to ask that records be clear.”
The hit on Romney backfired. Before Huckabee could finish trying to stop him, the audience drowned out Gingrich with boos.
