I think Perry is 100% conservative and is equal to any in that respect. That said, he is running a terrible campaign and I don’t know who to blame. It could possibly be those who are baling on him who are to blame.

Perry is a great governor and a fine gentleman but something is not right. In a couple of the debates he looked as if someone had secretly drugged him as he looked sleepy and tired. That is not the normal Rick Perry. He is a fine public speaker yet he performed poorly in those debates. All of that is peculiar to me.

Perry had serious back problems and was most likely under some kind of medication. Horrible luck for Perry.

Gov. Perry was fatigued in those early debates. He was recovering from back surgery, and at the end of a long day of campaigning he attended the debates. Though it hasn’t been confirmed, he was probably on painkillers at that time, too.

“That said, he is running a terrible campaign and I don’t know who to blame.”

I’m sure the governor is as baffled as his admirers and supporters. Or maybe he knows what happened. He is exactly what you say. A fine gentleman and a great governor. He’s a leader and has served his country which is obviously not of importance anymore because we have so few who do. He was THE target from the onset by Cain. Silly, silly Cain, the jester, who was going to fry Mexicans on an electric fence....while singing gospel music. What a heartless, immature, non-leader poor excuse for a candidate. And the crowds cheered. Threw money at him. Governor Perry was drugged in all probablity with pain killers from that back surgery. He made a bad call having the surgery so close to the campaign beginning. You’re right, he IS a fine public speaker. Engaging. Humorous. Why did no talk show host every mention his name except recently in derogatory terms? Strange.
Unfortunately Bachman and Santorum were a petty tag team and showed their leadership skills front and center. None. If Santorum gets the nomination, it will be because he thinks like everyone in the Conservative circle and he’s Catholic? It’s not going to work that way in the end. There may be 150 Christian leaders who have endosed him, but that won’t pass on to the congregation. Those who loathe Catholics and think it’s as much of a cult as Mormonism. He doesn’t have one day of leadership experience. He IS Michele Bachman who was forced out. He lost his own senate seat. He endorsed a non-Conservative.
I’m bitter. I’m not bitter because Governor Perry is losing. Some gotta win, some gotta lose. I’m bitter because this was supposed to be the greatest idea campaign ever....to fight Obama. I wanted to hear it all. Mr-I-washed-dishes-and-painted-houses Sean Hannity directing voter traffic?? Give me a break. Levin should be ashamed. Rush? No words. I’m sickened. The talk show hosts have controlled the masses. They’ve spun them senseless. I’m ashamed I ever listened.

I know. Verbose.

Perry just had back surgery - so, it’s possible he was on pain killers at the time. These debates stink to high heaven anyway, and I will not base my votes on debates. I want to see their records - not just hear flowery speeches.
