Everyone remembers the Fifth Dimensions first hit, Jimmy Webbs immortal Up, Up and Away, but few remember the Fifth Dimensions first
single. This is another one of those rock trivia bar bets. It was the last hit for Phil Sloan and Steve Barri, who broke up as a writing team. Barri went on to work with a number of producers and had a successful career on his own.

In "I Want to Know What Love Is", the moment that the gospel choir takes over is magical. One of the best things to come out of the Eighties.

I grew up in Virginia Beach with these guys in the late 60s. Jim Galyon, Steve Arcese and my mentor Morgan Hampton who later played with States and taught me always to carry a cowbell.
