Prez offers us more of the shame

In a commercial that helped elect him mayor of New York in 1977, Ed Koch looked at the TV camera and noted that incumbent Abe Beame wanted four more years to finish the job. Finish the job? Koch deadpanned. Hasnt he done enough?
**SNIP**
Yet he, like all failing incumbents, also has a major disadvantage: a record. Which is why it comes as a surprise that Obama plans to make attacks on Congress a centerpiece of his campaign.
Its doubling-down on his biggest mistakes and a reminder of why he is unpopular.
An aide says the president will argue that he cannot pass any major legislation in 2012 because of Republican hostility toward his agenda, The New York Times reports.
Thats a strange campaign theme, given that the parts of the agenda he did get through Congress are a major cause of his present predicament. Obamas ratings sank in 2009 and 2010, when Democrats controlled both houses and Congress gave him everything he wanted, mostly on party-line votes.
The result ObamaCare, a budget-busting stimulus that failed to stimulate and a mountain of debt directly led to a historic GOP sweep in the 2010 elections.
So the idea that Obama is going to demand more of the same doesnt sound like a winning argument in a nation thats already declared it wants smaller, cheaper government. Instead of Hope & Change, hell be pitching nostalgia for Nancy Pelosis days as speaker.

Oh, I heard him say it and Big Media covered it for about a minute.
Four more years to finish us off...
The current administration is a “job” and needs to be flushed in several months for the sake of Free America.
Yep. Exactly right.
I will be held accountable, Obama said. Ive got four years and
A year form now, I think people are going to see that were starting to make some progress, but theres still going to be some pain out there
If I dont have this done in three years, then theres going to be a one-term proposition.
Sorry, didn’t see your post. ;-)
Makes total sense. It takes a lot longer than four years to destroy the United States as we know it.
Destroying 240 years of intiative, hard work and the freedom of the individual, is really hard work. What keeps the greatest system in the world functioning, is that the producers outnumber the parasites, and in the last twenty years or so the parasites began to outnumber the producers.
Fortunately, even dummies are beginning to resist, to realize that the criminal politicians, thug unions, public employees and being forced to support illegal aliens, it tipping things over the financial cliff, ending their gravy train.
Prez offers us more of the shame (Hussein wants ‘four more years to finish us off’)
New theme for whoever ends up as our candidate: Mr. president, you think the general Public needs Big Government protection. We have determined that you need Big Ego/Narcisist/Loon protection. If the Republicans hadn't been hostile to your agenda, D.C. would be burning and there would be a bounty on your head. Republicans have lessened the damage you would have done to America and to yourself. Save the thanks, we wouldn't be able to believe you anyway.
Despots and Dick-taters always think they are the hot potato
Always want more time to rape, pillage, and plunder a nation-much like the sodomite-they think everyone would agree with them if only we were as enlightened as they.
