Instead of getting a bounce, Romney’s poll numbers are sinking in South Carolina. As I suggested, this ad attack is powerful. He’s followed it up by painting him as governing pro-abortion. Krauthammer is right — Romney’s got to show he can respond.
If these attacks work in a Republican primary, imagine how effective Obama will find them in November.
BTW, no signs yet that the negative ads are hurting Gingrich, either.

LOL, Romney appointed liberal judges, supported Planned Parenthood, supported liberal gun laws, and state financed abortions. Bain Capitol is the least of his problems.

Usually, these things hurt both the recipient and the candidate making the attack.
Amen! They weren't complaining when lies were told about Newt in Iowa, but all of a sudden the whining about attack ads is becoming a crescendo.
An honest man will ask if all the media is outraged at capitalism being examined, or if they're truly upset that their boy, Mitt, is taking fire.
I'm fairly certain it's the latter.

The narrative that Romney is a super rich fat cat who cares nothing about the little guy will stick. It is too easily promoted with a few photos and statistics. (Do we want a guy who is worth $190 million and owns fifteen mansions being our leader?)
This is why we have to go with Newt. They will attack him, but they will have a harder time with the “super rich vs the neglected oppressed” rhetoric. And he will fight back.
Sure they have the ammo. but Newt’s ad agency ideas will be gravy for them. Val and Plouffe are doing the happy dance as we speak.

We need to see some more reputable polls out of SC that are recent. The poll quoted in the article is pretty suspect and not well known. They have been off quiet a bit in the other races so far. And the author seems to jump to conclusions on this one poll. By end of the weekend, we should have some polls to get a better sense of where things are.
Him making $10,000 bets at the drop of a hat certainly won't help him either.
