AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do—that’s host. Get ready to what you were born to do—that’s listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

Once Rush takes a position, he starts to worship it.

He will not back down on this, don’t even expect it.

I think he was very wrong to do this. It hurts two of the best candidates left.

Makes one wonder if he could possibly be for Santorum who never says anything about anything.

I think Limbaugh is in the tank for a Romney/Santorum ticket. That’s all.

If you mean Rick Perry, I will seriously consider it.

Santorum is last on my list. I don’t want a wimp debating a wimp.

Sorry, it is entirely rational to see the difference between consulting, a form of capitalism, though the client was a government entity, and manipulating capital, loans, and debt to glean profit off a dying business by way of GOVERNMENT regulation in bankruptcy code, which from what I have read, is essentially what Romney did in some cases at Bain. If it hadn't been for government, that particular form of "capitalism" would have failed.

Gingrich is very flawed, but he measures up to Reagan's "good enough if he agrees with you 75 or 80 percent of the time." THAT is what's called "rational," while attacking him to defend an opponent who barely meets 10 percent, is INSANE.

Making the perfect the enemy of the good is irrational.

fannie and freddie did crash the economy

your boy newt has quite the bragging rights there - took a buttload of money and crashed the entire economy

i think you are the insane one - driven by irrational hate that you can't see beyond

just like an obama voter

Rush's attack on Gingrich for how he attacked Romney puts me in mind of Alec Guinness' Col. Nicholson in "Bridge on the River Kwai."

He's so caught up in "doing it right" that he's forgotten who he's doing it FOR -- i.e., Romney.

Statism is our enemy, and Romney is a statist. ANY TIME Rush does something to help Romney, he's helping the enemy.

Perfect analogy!
Man-O-Man, you NAILED it, Finny!

Thank you! Let’s hope Rush emulates Col. Nicholson at the end, and wakes up in time. (One of the finest pieces of acting on film — the look on Alec Guinness’s/Nicholson’s face when he snaps out of it and realizes what he’s done ... )

Sadly, it’s true, I say sadly because I was once one of Rushs’ biggest fans.

Now it becoming more evident that he cares more about who’s signing his paycheck than our Republic.

I turned the feed off after he went on defending Romney. Couldn’t stand it.

So be it. But this is no time to defend Romney. Rush isn’t helping Newt defeat Romney. I could care less about defending Romney against Liberal media at this point. If he loses the primary then there is nothing to defend. Defending “Romney capitalism” will only hurt Newt because Newt is questioning Bain Capitol as well.

If Rush is upset Bachmann quit the race, well he did nothing to help her either nor Cain. Defending Romney is not going to help anybody.

Ronald Reagan would support Newt and shun both Romney and the Establishment. Rush has become the Establishment.

Does he own stock in BAIN? Why does Rush continue to be so wrong on this by bashing Newt?

Rush, why so SERIOUSLY wrong on your support for RINO Romney? Why?

YOU can't speak for Reagan

No one can speak for Reagan...

Reagan's own very Conservative Son has endorsed Newt Gingrich.

Newt worked with Reagan personally and continues to support his ideals.

Newt earned his PhD at 28. Rush is a high school graduate. Neither backgrounds matter other than in relation to respect. Rush refuses to respect a Conservative Candidate who worked with Reagan, knew Reagan, and is endorsed by Ronald Reagan's son.

There was a recent picture of the Republican Candidates hovering around Nancy Reagan. Notice, Newt is to the side. Yet they set up the photo for the front runners at the time and Michelle is leaning in towards Nancy in order to garner more attention.

Look at Newt. He is comfortable with the picture, not trying to steal the limelight away from Romney, yet Newt has known Ronald Reagan and Nancy since the 1980’s. You would think out of respect, the other candidates would acknowledge Newt's history with the Reagan's. But they didn't and Newt wasn't bothered by it.

It shows that NEWT is an every day American who has more in Common with the great Presidents of our Country like Washington, Jefferson and Reagan than the current wannabee’s.

Romney is trying to steal the lime light. But in most scenarios, Reagan has most in common with Gingrich.
