Gov. Palin is making a valiant effort to stay relevant, but truth is, she had her chance and chickened out.
She can no longer be the star, but she has a role in the supporting cast. She can go after Romney because it doesn't matter if it runs up her negatives, she isn't running for anything. She can become the conservative answer to Karl Rove. Just as Rove savages conservatives as Romney's hit man, Gov. Palin can hammer the RINOs as the conservative branch of the party's enforcer.
It is not a job that is likely to make you loved. However by running up her negatives the press has given her little to lose in that realm. It is a job that pays well and provides TV face time.

Rove had a really stupid pro-Romney article in this morning’s WSJ. I don’t know why the GOP “leaders” are so in love with the guy.
