Business mogul Warren Buffet is promising to match any donation Republican members make toward cutting the national deficit. And he upped the ante when it came to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), saying he would match the leader's donations three-to-one. His pledge comes after McConnell said that if Buffett is feeling guilty about not paying more in taxes, he should just send in a check. "With regard to his tax rate, if hes feeling guilty about it, I think he should send in a check," McConnell said on NBC's "Meet the Press" in September.

he knows his business stands a better chance of making more money if the economy starts to grow and the repubs are the best at doing that.. he can’t really come out and say that for fear of the regime so he’s doing this.. this is like the recent CEO group that promised not to give any money until Congress gets it’s act together. That was code for “we don’t want to get an anal exam by the IRS and Holder’s DOJ if we support Republicans”
People are genuinely afraid to publicly come out and support Obama’s opposition.
Dear Warren...
Just settle up with the IRS like the rest of us ordinary folks...

Billionaire, 0.0001 % er, W. Buffet-the-hell-out-of-Obama’s-enemies, is guilty of POLITICAL PROFILING, because he selected NO DEMOCRATS.
BTW, just what IS the punishment for Political Profiling?
He wouldn’t have to pay anything.
Warren Buffett, here is the deal, you are a million times richer than me.
Here is my dollar, match it on a ratio to wealth.
Or shut the hell up.
This guy is Dick Buffett to go along with Dick Obama.
Warren: put your money where your mouth is. Empty all your accounts, sell all your real and personal property; sell your companies. Write one big check to the IRS. Move in to a tent at OWS. It’s patriotic, you know, according to Biden. Until you do otherwise, shut your pie hole.
I will take him up on his offer, with a slight change: that he should match my contribution with an equivalent PROPORTION of his net worth. That is, I will give 5% of my net worth, if he will give 5% of his net worth.
Otherwise, he is not serious. His initial challenge would take much more from his Republican targets (as a proportion of their wealth) than it does from his own. Nice try! Very clever, Buffett but not clever enough!
One more provision: in order to be more efficient in helping the nation, our combined contributions should go to the NRC, or to the Club for Growth.
I would donate a dollar to see Buffet kiss the bummers butt.
My first thought exactly!
An aide to McConnell suggested that the Berkshire Hathaway CEO should expand his matching offer to President Barack Obama and his Democrats.
"Senator McConnell says that Washington should be smaller, rather than taxes getting bigger. And since some, like President Obama and Mr. Buffett want to pay higher taxes, Congress made it possible for them to call their own bluff and send in a check," said Don Stewart, McConnell's deputy chief of staff.
"So I look forward to Mr. Buffett matching a healthy batch of checks from those who actually want to pay higher taxes, including Congressional Democrats, the President and the Democratic National Committee," he added.
Just trying to cover up for the fact his previous comments are purely partisan rhetoric rather than a sincere desire to have his taxes raised.
Couldn't be said better. :-)
Like all Liberals, they never want to put their money where their mouths are unless they drag everyone else into it. That way they can blame the other guy when their plan falls flat on its face. Social Security, Welfare, Medicare, Public Education, The Great Society, it never ends. Sooner or later people are damaged and the money runs out.
Biden gave 2% if his income to Charity while Cheney gave half his income to help poor kids in D.C. and Cheney is Evil. No good deed goes unpunished.
PAY UP WHAT YOU OWE, Buffett.
But, will he match the donations in term of PERCENTAGE OF NET WORTH?
I donate the unconstitutional Department of Education.
There ya go, Warren. Match it.
