WASHINGTON -- Tensions between the rich and poor are increasing and at their most intense level in nearly a quarter-century, a new survey shows. Americans now see more social conflict over wealth inequality than over the hot-button topics of immigration, race relations and age.
The survey released Wednesday by the Pew Research Center highlights U.S. perceptions of the economic divide, an issue that has moved to the forefront in the 2012 presidential campaign amid stubbornly high unemployment, increasing poverty and protests by the Occupy movement.

Geee.... Now why do you think that is?
So, when is the civil war?
My poor ass loves rich folks.
I wish government would get out of the way so America could create more rich folks.
Wealth Redistribution is the THEME of The Messiah's Reign.
Just one problem, the rich folks don't want that.
Make all politician publication windfalls have a 100% tax.
Zer0 is the 1%.
And the largest sales ever of tools of self defense that go bang in 2011.
I know what it is....
0bama and the wookie are working their "tails" off making things absolutely heavenly in the good ol' USA, BUT with all the damage done by Bush and Cheney in eight years it's going to take more time to make it better again.
Am I ready for the DNC yet?
Funny....I recently had lunch with a buddy of mine who works for Worksource and across his office is the welfare office which gives pays FOR YOUR ELECTRICITY as long as you show you are below the poverty level.
99% of the people line up were blacks who were yakking on their Iphones, SEIU shirts and brand new sneakers...
So kindly explain what is the definition of “poor” in this country again?
Sincerely;
Obama & Congress
Heh, love the pic. And I agree - Obama has been causing an awful lot of this, or at least egging it on with his rhetoric.
True economic justice has nothing to do with taking from the rich (of which I most assuredly am not) to dole out to the non-rich (that would be me). The world doesn’t owe me a gosh darn thing. True economic justice is simply me having the same opportunity as everyone else to succeed or fail on my own merits and hard work, without the powers that be sticking their noses into it and playing favorites in the name of “fairness.”
Which is why some nut job RAT wants it to be a crime to require a
high school diploma, or ask for one. They have opportunity for anything in America.
Besides,
Who will pick up my cigarette butts and McDonald wrappers
off the ground if everyone is rich?
Did you happen to catch the Today’s show report on the murder of a Doctor and his wife? Reporter says something like “they are part of the 1 percent living in a gated community”.
That made my blood boil that these innocent victims are called “part of the1 percent” as if that is wrong/elite.
I don’t think I’ve seen the Today show since the days of Pauly and Brokaw.
That is the real problem. There is increasingly a conflict between the responsible and the irresponsible. In the past, if you messed up big, you understood that it was YOUR job to turn your life around. These days they just sit and whine and demand that those who were responsible move to the side so that the irresponsible are catered to. In the Sixties, if you got pregnant out of wedlock you were looking at a life where you would work in a diner or housekeeping or in the lower level while those who kept their legs together (or used birth control) ended up going to school, living life, having fun, and making their way easily through life as a result of being responsible.
Now the knocked up without the ring and barely out of their teens get all their perks while the responsible are out struggling to make their way and end up working harder than they should and losing out on a fun life and grow old prematurely to just get by, much less into school because the sluts get priority in regards to acceptance. The sluts get pregnant, get babydaddy to pay the bills and a thick stack of welfare cash. If they want more money, they get more kiddos and more perks and preferences.

From what I can tell, the taxpayers are fed up while the freeloaders are refusing to change their behavior. So, the taxpayers can bail the country and leave the US to collapse, or the taxpayers can start lobbying for less welfare for those that are just mooching and that in turn will piss off the moochers, possibly triggering riots. the only way to shut them up will be to give them more welfare, which will just make things harder and harder and harder for the responsible to have children with. I mean, how are you going ot meet the love of your life if in fact you are breaking your fingers just to pay the bills, much less go out and socialize?
My husband had the show on which is rather rare as we usually listen to the radio.
There. Fixed it.
