This article came out this morning but I couldn't find it on Freep. More adventures from the #1 Nanny state/city in the country that unfortunately I live in. I guess the mandatory Mao suits will come next.

The schmuck mayor is also closing the IRT in Manhattan at 10 PM for a couple of weeks. I've been in and around NYC for all my life (65 years now) and I can never remember these lines shutting down like this except briefly for some police action. (And also except for "Hurricane" Irene where the @sshole shut down the entire system FOR NOTHING.)

Bloomy is on the right track, he should mandate for all bars to have a two drink limit.
I know the folks in NYC and they’ll all be for it.....

the gov’t should decide how much the people eat, drink, smoke and crap...where they do it, when they do it and who they do it with and what it cost them. If the gov’t isn't telling people what to do, what good are they?

It generally is not a good idea to shut down booze establishments in a convention city. Might affect the unions that do the the set up and tear down for conventions.
But I am sure he has a better idea.
