Colorado-based Durango High School has now agreed to include the "revealing" photo of a high school senior in the yearbook after initially refusing to do so.
The school officials had earlier refused to publish the controversial photo of Sydney Spies, calling it inappropriate. The officials told Spies that she had violated the schools dress code by wearing a short yellow skirt and a black shawl as the top.

TV news reported her mother ponied up $600 for yearbook ads-—just to get the pics in the yearbook-—the offensive pics will be in the ads.
I knew a blond Sydney as an undergraduate.
She thought a `cosmetologist’ was a Russian astronaut.
She dropped out and went to Russian astronaut school.
C’mon man! Durango, CO, the land of liberals, home of Interior Sect. Ken Salazar. She just wants to be remembered the way she really is!
Good point.
Don't know if the photo is inappropriate, but there is a high school about 10 blocks from my house, and many of the kids walking down the street make this outfit look tame.
Either the kids today have fewer raging hormones than me and my generation did, or they are all on some kind of depressant drugs. If there had been girls in my high school dressed like the ones I see walking down the street now - I can assure you I would not have paid a single moment of attention to anything the teacher said.
Well Laz?
Well Laz?
Well Laz?
Sorry, I forgot patience is required!
One of my best friends married a divorced mom of four kids. She was an aerobic instructor, among other things I suppose, but they had attended a party once and were talking about the threat Russia still posed the US.
This lady stayed quite until she piped up with,
“And to think we share our northern border with Russia!”
The crowd there laughed, of course, thinking it was a joke, only to the horror of looking upon her distressed, surprised, and then embarrassed face when everyone found out at the same time she actually thought Canada was somewhere over in Europe.
She actually believed that the city just passed Blaine, WA was in Russia.
True story.
They got along famously. My friend had a couple of simple rules in his life, and she fit one of them perfectly it seems. The other was ‘don’t get between him and his food’.
Same here.
FYI, Before I erupt in flames... I am referring to the Clippers pic
I was worried she was under age.
Never in my public school life did we have anyone that looked like this and I’m including teachers.
Well, “Not as smart as me” doesn’t have to mean “dumb as a rock”. Perhaps in this guy’s case but too dumb and you’re going to go crazy every time her yap hole opens up.
hot!
By Grabthar’s hammer..........
Judging by the look she's going for in the picture, she probably doesn't say no very often either.
Errr, uh, err... about that northern border thing ...
Looked at a globe, lately?
Depending on whose claims to the arctic you believe... we DO share a northern border with Russia.
