Jerry Sandusky's book, 'Touched,' helped police investigation into alleged sex crimes

The investigation of Jerry Sandusky took three years.
And it took Sandusky himself — through the pages of his autobiography, “Touched” — to help police find Victims 3, 4, 5 and 7.
At the end of 2009, police had spent almost a year trying to corroborate claims by a single boy — a 17-year-old Clinton County teen later known as Victim 1 — who had alleged years of sexual abuse by Penn State’s legendary defensive coach. Only one state police investigator had been tasked to handle the case.
Finally, they discovered a campus police report from 1998, in which a boy had said he was forced to take a naked shower with Sandusky in the Penn State locker room and was inappropriately touched. With that, investigators learned the key had been right in front of them.

He actually wrote a book called “Touched”? You gotta be kidding...
“Amendola’s right; they all knew each other. They went to the football games together,” Victim 6’s mom said. “But to think they all got together? No. They went down [to the grand jury] kicking and screaming. They each thought they were the only ones. My son knew them, and he didn’t know it happened to them, and they didn’t know it happened to my son. It wasn’t something they spoke about.”
Instead of volunteering the information to police, she said most of the boys had to be subpoenaed by a grand jury and forced to testify. It was only when they realized they weren’t the only ones that they began to cooperate, she said.
“Not one of those boys came forward,” she said. “These kids tried not to talk to police. Several times they didn’t call back. And in some cases [the police] had to go and knock on their doors. [Amendola’s] full of bologna when he says they colluded, because they never knew it happened to anyone else.”
Yes, it’s true. Weirder though, is that the guy who wrote it with Sandusky said that Jerry came up with that specific title and insisted on them using it. Yuck!!
A few other sources picked it up, like CBS Sports (ESPN didn't) http://eye-on-collegefootball.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/24156338/34107160. He's called Victim #11 (#'s 1-8 were in the Grand Jury presentment, # 9 and 10 were the boys who are still minors, including Sandusky's grandson). Public uproar? Nope. I can't find coverage in the Happy Valley-area papers. Penn State alumni who were against child abuse? Crickets. It's as if we're now yawning. As if another Ted Bundy victim is found and there's no need to report it.
My suspicion is that it's like a lot of other stories - Fox News broke it so others are going to ignore it. Did I miss it elsewhere?
And it's a 2004 rape that would have been stopped had Mike McQueary, his father Joh McQueary, Dr. Jonathan Dranov (at the McQueary household when McQueary told his father), Joe Paterno, Tim Curley, or Gary Schultz reported Sandusky to the police after the 2002 rape.
Or if Penn State had banned Sandusky from bringing boys onto the Penn State campus after 2002, as it said it did (although in the presentment, either Curley or Schultz said that ban was unenforceable; well, it certainly was).

The teen’s lawyer, Charles Schmidt, told FoxNews.com in an interview on Thursday that Sandusky lured the boy into an office seven years ago, plied him with alcohol and raped him. He said Sandusky then gave the boy Penn State football championship memorabilia, walked him outside and handed him off to a Second Mile counselor.Schmidt said Sandusky gave the boy a football championship commemorative bottle and a hockey puck, and that both items have recently been turned over to police.
The office where the alleged rape occurred is thought to have been Sandusky’s office in Penn State’s Lasch football building, Schmidt said. He said he thought that Second Mile’s programs were run out of that building.
Nothing to report about that. Nothing to see here. Move along.
That was my response. MrR facepalmed when he read it.
You can see that few in the media want to bring it up anymore. It goes to show how pervasive this "shushing up" is. Everyone is too afraid to talk about it, but we really must unearth this so the abuse will come to light. Maybe then we can truly begin to deal with it.

Looking at the book jogged the memory of Victim 6’s sister, who told police about one boy who had been in her class in middle school. During lunch one day, she remembered kids talking about Sandusky being a hero. The boy shouted that he “hated his guts,” and ran out, her mother said.
“Did you have to take showers with him, too?” she asked later.
“How did you know?” the boy answered.
“It happened to my brother, too,” she said.
See, the truth of the matter is that everyone KNOWS that it's wrong for grown men to shower with boys. There are very few situations where it might be considered normal behavior IMHO. His wife, the coaches, the counselors...everyone chose to look the other way. These boys suffered. It breaks my heart, and angers me at the same time. We have to do better than this.
Keep in mind, these evil souless predators are amazingly persuasive — and take pride in their ability to dupe people without displaying their true nature.
They entice their victims by gaining their trust.......the same way they get people to cover for them. The judge in the notorious Penn State case actually let Sandusky go free-—another sign WRT how easily predators dupe people into being their willing enablers.
REALTIME CAUTIONARY TALE It was recently revealed -—— an alarmed mother found Sandusky took her son out of class without her permission on three occassions. When she approached the school, she was told she was being unduly alarmed, b/c, she was reminded, “Jerry has a heart of gold. “ The mom insisted they call the police. But the braindead dupes talked her out of reporting it b/c “that would hurt poor Jerry,” they said.
People are easily taken in by charming, persuasive predators. In her recent autobio, Debbie Reynold’s daughter, Carrie Fisher, tells how her stepfather, Harry Karl, walked around the house without underwear, displaying his genitals to the small children.....clearly Karl was a child predator-—a very disturbed pedophile.
Debbie Reynolds writes earlier about Harry paying a lot of attention to her children while they were dating......another sign. No reports yet if Debbie’s children were molested by this fiend-—but children understandably block out traumatic incidences.
Hollywood is rife with pedophiles-—child actor Corey Feldman recently revealed that he was surrounded with the beasts.
In her autobio, Shirley Temple told how H’wood bigwig George Jessel exposed himself to her...as a child. Nothing ever happened to him-—Jessel went on to become a respected entertainer.

This was a lot more than “showering” of course, just as conventional sex is a lot more than “sleeping in a bed.”
But I never knew a straight coach who was interested in showering with his gym class. It would have been considered very weird.
Exactly. Showering with young boys is enough in my book, but that he did more than shower with them is particularly repulsive. I’m absolutely disgusted and hope that justice will prevail for these young men. Sandusky needs to be imprisoned for the rest of his life, and so do others for their enabling of this criminal behavior.
One lawyer even suggested that Sandusky showered with boys to show them methods of hygiene! How utterly gullible does he think we are to buy into that?!
Boy comes out of Sandusky’s office, soused and with souvenirs. Nobody asked why he was soused — incredible.
It wasn’t hygiene, but high-jinks, that got Sandusky in trouble.
It is like the Franklin Cover up. It involves lots of elites-—professors, judges, lawyers, etc. They are powerful people and silencing the whole ordeal so it will go away and they can continue the molestations. Second Mile was delivering boys to lots of homosexuals-—just like the Franklin Cover-up did. Big powerful people are still molesting boys and never got prosecuted. A lawyer ended up dead on this case already-—exactly like the Franklin Cover-Up case.
People who were for allowing sodomy in the military are the same group. Homosexuality has always been about pederasty since it is a learned behavior.
It is why the APA is working feverishly to normalize man/boy love-—”intergenerational sex”. They now ok sodomy-—trying to force the normalization in kindergarten with Jerry Brown forcing the sick topic into the heads of innocent kids-—putting ideas into their heads that they would only have if they were abused.
Very sick powerful people in the world——the Hollywood producers who were passing the Coreys around are still making movies-—nothing from Jerry Brown—Silence-—maybe Brown is one of the pederasts-—he runs around those crowds.
We need to get back to Christian Ethics-—the one thing which eliminated pederasty and homosexuality as being “good” in Western Civilization. Zero and the sodomites are out to make it ordinary everyday fun. We need it stopped.
This “lifestyle” has been practiced since Ancient Greek times and probably before-—and is prevalent in Muslim societies-—notably Afghanistan. It is all about the boys, you guys. Save the boys.
