Character matters, and that will haunt Gingrich. Nevertheless, his politics make him a better choice than Romney. If Romney is the nominee, I'll hold my nose and pull the lever, but God help us all if the choice is Paul or Obama.

I love it when the pagans in the MSM attempt to share their penetrating insight into evangelicals. it’s always a riot.

I’ll take the “moral” one, thank you very much.

Character matters... but so does Redemption and forgiveness.

We have all done things we regret in life, some of us have been caught, others have been lucky and haven't been. But to pretend that some are without sin and are thus more “moral” because they have been lucky enough not to have been caught or to have had their particular failings covered trumpeted from the rooftops by the media is ridiculous.

Who's to say that Romney or everyone else on that stage hasn't had an affair? I'd say there is a good chance that everyone on that stage has had an issue in their marriages at some point in time, it's just that they obviously were able to work through it and keep their marriage together and to keep it from going public.

“Character matters, and that will haunt Gingrich.”

It shouldn’t...if Christians practice what they preach.

How often must we forgive ... particularly when another sinner has repented?

During the period of the Judges of Israel, when God’s people turned to him and pled for help, he would choose a man (or, in one case, woman) to lead them to restoration.

Very often, that man was one of questionable character and feet of clay.

Let us all remember that the Lord God Jehovah is able to do anything He wants through whomever He chooses.

Humbly pray that this time he sends us the leader we need, not, as in 2008, the one we deserve.

The underpinning of the article is that romney is electable... or the most electable, or something like that. And, they provide no evidence to that effect. So, I guess I need to take their word that romney, as presented by the liberal media, the steponallofus’es and sawyers, npr/nyt/and the rest, is the only one that can beat zer0.

As in much of life, people see the coarse Newt and judge his moral failings in a more harsh way than the more refined Romney.

My personal view is that Gingrich’s roller coaster fight with morality and faith is something that I can identify with and have some degree of trust in that it is real and common, much more than the, lifelong, unbroken, thoughtless, yet dedicated proselytizer’s path of depravity and evil of Mitt Romney.

Romney is neither electable or moral. Newt is both.

I will NEVER vote for Romney. EVER. I will vote R down ticket and either write in or vote 3rd party for pres depending upon my choices.

Mitt is a Socialist in a Republican suit and I will not cave to the GOP elite who think they are kingmakers and can keep shoving RINOS like Romney down our throat and that we will cave.

NO MORE!

“If Romney is the nominee, I’ll hold my nose and pull the lever.....”

That is exactly what the Republican elite AND OBAMA is counting on.

The Republican elite, MSM, including Fox news, are ruining this country every bit as much as Obama and the dems.

I WILL NOT reward them with my vote. My character will not allow me to vote for that lying POS baby killing RINO Romney.

Character does matter and it takes character to publicly admit, without reservation, that you were wrong, as well as making peace with God.

Character does matter and it takes character to forgive a man for his foolish deeds. It takes character to see beyond the sins of another man.

It takes absolutely no character for any man to pretend they are holier than thou and without sin in their life.

Most, if not all men have been in rooms they would not have wanted to had died in.

As far as I know, there has been only one perfect man and he was Nailed to a Cross.

Having said all of that, I am not looking for a president that I can go to church with or one that we can pretend is oh so holy. I want a strong leader, with a proven record of accomplishments and a clear vision of the future. I am not looking for a Reverend, Priest or Rabi. I want a president that will turn this country around intelligently and quickly.

I will continue to support the one man that I believe in my heart and head can turn this country around and set the course for my children and grandchildren to have a better future........ that man is Newt Gingrich.

GO NEWT GO.........

The moral choice is to get Obama out of office.

If “evangelicals” want to blow it like they seem to do in most presidential elections, they will go with the guy with no fight, but will make a jim dandy Sunday school teacher.

They need to learn how to to fight a political war. Jesus is not going to banish you to hell for it.

“Moral politician” is an oxymoron. But it may be that some are less immoral than others.
