FOX2NOW had a disturbing story of child neglect/abuse in Crawford County, Mo. Instead of getting a baby-sitter to watch 1- 2- and 4-year-old toddlers, adults opted to lock the children in a cold shed in the back yard. The six adults present at the scene were having a party at the time.

There is no such thing as raising kids anymore. No such thing as ‘sacrifice’ for your children. No more dedication to family, as extreme feminism as inspired females to relegate ‘mothering’ to the bottom of the list of ‘duties’ while the mother seeks her personal fulfillment and self gratification....what ever floats her boat.

Sure looked like MrEdd was pointing out the absurdity associated with ronpaul and his loonie-bin supporters and the thread was secondarily about druggies. Didn’t seem to take long to bait a paulnut.

Seein a bit of pot calling kettel black?

poor innocent kids are better off in state custody than in that mess of a household.

I personally know two people who were taken from their homes by child protective services, and were sexually abused while in "state custody."

You’ll have the thread full of slobbering Paultards screaming that laws against drugs cause everything from Mooshelle’s fat butt to dropped cell phone calls.

While I think that the Libertarians over-emphasize the drug war, they do have a point about the effects of the drug war on the civil liberties of the rest of us.

It's welfare that allows drug dependency to be viable. Eliminate welfare, and druggie parents unable to hold a job would have no choice but to give up any kids for foster care or adoption. More likely they would volunteer for sterilization to escape the hassle if kids were not an asset for securing government benefits.

“There is no such thing as raising kids anymore”

You are absolutely right and the reason for this is because kids are considered blobs of cells-—no different than those who are deemed worthy to be aborted by our courts. There is no respect for human life at any stage.

Hi, Lady Lucky. I withdrew my comment about "state custody" above, in comment #9, as it was in error.

I was making an exaggerated statement, sort of like "they'd be better off dead", but on reflection that was ill-advised as well.
