Watch the video.
Romney laughs almost the entire video. Although it was against the law to transport people or animals on top of vehicles, Romney's excuse was that he didn't know about the law.
Nevermind the fact that the dog had diarrhea in the kennel during the trip.
As far as I know he is part of the “Priesthood” as any adult male who abides by the faith and who has completed his 2 years of Mission service is. I’m sure that Huntsman is too. I really don’t think this has anything to do with running the country.
The inner sanctum of the Temple is closed to anybody who is not a full fledged Mormon. When they built the huge Mormon Temple in Oakland, CA, they allowed towns people to tour the Temple before it was dedicated. I did not go (I’ve always regretted that) so that everyone could see it before it was closed to the public. I think people stood in line for a whole month before they shut the gates to outsiders.
Every religion has its own rules and only uncivilized “clods” like Bill Clinton would disobey them. (Remember when Clinton lined up for Communion at a Catholic service in S. Africa?)
I agree completely. It’s a friggin’ dog and it happened nearly 30 years ago. Who cares?
Read Mongo read!
Ska-rew Romney...Go Nootorum!
Who knows how many thousands of dogs fall from trucks and survive, with horrible injuries. My friend witnessed this just yesterday while driving behind a pickup truck driving 55 mph. Dog fell out. Somehow survived. My friend rescued the dog.
It's one thing to have a dog ride in the back of a truck ON A FARM, driving 5 mph, it's another thing entirely to allow a dog to ride in the back of a truck on a highway. It is extremely dangerous, it is WRONG, and if it isn't against the law everywhere, it certainly should be.

A few years back I’m in a department store and I see this guy with a seeing eye dog. All of a sudden he’s swinging the dog around and around by the leash. I rush over and say “hey,’what’s the deal?”
The guy says, “no problem, I’m just lookin’ around.”
I know that Bishop Romney is part of the 15% of the elite and their secret ceremonies.
As President, would Bishop Romney ever have need of agents who were a part of his secretive Mormon elite to accompany him for anything?
I have witnessed communion and taken communion, it is not secret.
Are you Catholic? If you are not a Baptized Catholic in a state of Grace, you are not allowed to take Communion in a Catholic church. Of course, only you know that in your heart.
Do you have any friends who are Masons? The Masons are full of secret ceremonies, and most of our Founding Fathers and early Presidents were Masons. I don’t see any harm that they did to this country.
All these red herrings raised against Mitt Romney miss the point entirely. Let’s discuss his actual proposals, not all this imaginary stuff.
Yes,P.O.E,because it shows a gross lack of both common sense judgement and compassion towards a living creature,a family pet, in a presidential candidate.
I don’t want a president who puts the family dog on the roof of the car for a trip and thinks that’s okay.
His manner of speaking is very distracting and somewhat disturbing, but even more disturbing is McCain's endorsement.
Now with this story, I can't think of a reason to even like the guy, let alone vote for him. (As if I'd vote for a Massachusetts politician...)
Romney = Write in
That would be me... and I do seriously remember what a big hissie fit that was!
Our current leading republican president is part of the elite, secret leadership of the Mormons.
Why does it bother you so for us to mention it?
Will he at times require Secret Service agents who are a part of that elite?
Reminds me of Clark Griswold dragging the dog, Dinky, to death behind the station wagon.
Sorry I disagree with you. The last dang thing we need is more LAWS.
So I agree with you, we don't need more laws. Let's just shoot any idiot we see with a dog in the back of his truck. How does that sound?
LOL
That would probably cause a traffic accident.
Yes, it seems like a silly thing to bring up but, like Bill Clinton, the episode seems to speak to his character. We all know that psychiatrists point to the abuse of animals by children as an early indicator of someone who lacks empathy and compassion. Treating his dog this way doesn’t speak well for how he treats those around him. We’re all just speculating, here, but if he is indifferent to the suffering of an animal riding on the roof of his car, what regard does he have for the average citizen?
I know that people allow their dogs to ride in the backs of trucks, and running about in the back of suv’s. But those dogs tend to be doing that all of their lives since they were pups. I don’t agree with that, but I get it.
This was not that case. This was a family pet. A family that probably pampered it. And then it is tossed on top of the car and driven at high speeds. Vthis was not something this animal had been exposed to before.
And while your dog has vomited and had diarehha, it is highly likely this was the result of literally having it scared out of him.
I understand why some people do not think this is horrible, but I will tell you, it is an indication of lack of empathy—an inability to feel. My guess is the Mitt treats his dogs like any other prop in his life. It’s there for the family Christmas card picture. He is “supposed” to have a pretty dog. But aside from that, it is merely a pain in the ass.
I could not despise this man any more than I do right now.
