Actual title is : Obama violated Senate norms to appoint this guy? New financial protection chief accused of misusing state funds (FR needs more space for title- I always have to alter Aaron's titles to post them)
Sparking Republican charges he violated Senate norms, President Obama today used his recess appointment powers to name a head for the controversial Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
KleinOnline first reported last month that consumer groups had been calling on Obama to seize rarely-used powers in to make a recess appointee for Richard Cordray, the nominee for what the government bills as a new consumer financial watchdog.
KleinOnline also reported Cordray was the subject of national news in 2008 when he used public funds for the legal defense of three former state employees accused of accessing personal information of Joe Wurzelbacher, also known as Joe the Plumber.
Wurzelbacher rose to fame during that years presidential campaign after he was videotaped questioning Obama about the candidates small-business tax policy during a campaign stop in Ohio.
Now Republicans are charging Obama violated Congressional rules by appointing Cordray just a day after the Senate held a session. Traditional rules gold that the Senate must be in recess for at least three days before a president can act.

How long do you have to work at these jobs before you get a retirement? We may see a rash of appointments to pay off political debts if the Democrats are worried about losing the presidency.
With the Democrat ownership of the planet’s media, voices like Klein have become like those “crying in the wilderness”. Bless him.
I have no idea how long it would be til they could retire. These people are so corrupt. I’m about to post a couple more of Aaron’s articles. I just can’t believe some of the stuff I’m reading.
Interesting. The position has many unchecked powers. This needs to be exposed.
The Senate was in session. The appointment is therefore illegal. Why can't these "commentators" get it right? Why do we bother with them?
Yes he is! I can’t believe how horrible and incompetent the msm is! They could easily be investigating the same things that Aaron does but they won’t.
Misuse of state funds is a requirement to work in this administration.
“...Cordray was the subject of national news in 2008 when he used public funds for the legal defense of three former state employees accused of accessing personal information of Joe Wurzelbacher, also known as Joe the Plumber.
So Barry pushed this appointment, illegally at that, as payback. Wonder if Cordray had some dirt on Barry as motivation?
Next question: What date does the White Crib cite that the Senate was gaveled into recess? Did the Marxists "deem" something that was fictitious....again?
This wasn’t a violation of Senate “norms”, it was a violation of the statute AND the Constitution.
Hussein is lawless.
“Cordray was the subject of national news in 2008 when he used public funds for the legal defense of three former state employees accused of accessing personal information of Joe Wurzelbacher, also known as Joe the Plumber.”
Well....
Now we get to it.
Little wonder Obama didn’t want this guy before the Senate, in an Election Year, on National TV.
“Hussein is lawless.”
Who’s gonna call him out on it?
Republicans are screaming bloody murder, but did you see that on the Alphabet Network Evening News last night?
It’s like the allegory of the bear in the woods.
Maybe I’ll go out and commit some kind of crime this afternoon so I can get appointed as a Czar of something or other by this kenyan-usurper, affirmative-action, equal-opportunity loser (aka nobama).
Un-freakin-believable.
