He signs bills into law and then states that he will not abide by some provisions.

He openly defies the Senate's power to approve appointments.

He now decides to give defensive missle technology to the Russians.

He (like all Dems) is calling for gutting of our military.

What is to restrain him from placing many of us in Camps?

As I said on the day of his corronation:

"Welcome to New Kenya (Africa USA) Where the law of the jungle has replace the Law of the Land"

How long will Rush Limbaugh and Free Republic be allowed to stay “on air”?

If the evil bastard is “re-elected” {he will do everything he can to steal the election}, I wonder.

This guy's argument is based on the theory that the U.S. Constitution is still in force. I don't think it really is. No one, not the courts or congress has done anything to stop our slide into tyranny. A Coup d’état is happening right now in plain sight. I'm just waiting for the Tea Party to burn down the U.S. Capitol building.

Gutting the military means a whole lot more money available (or the continued illusion of such) to spend on buying votes. Halving defense spending means another $300B to “redistribute” in a way which will reward him more.

Common assumption is he’ll have a billion-dollar campaign war chest, and that anyone can win given sufficient money.

If just 0.01% of all new federal spending under this administration makes it back to the Obama’s pocket, that’s a billion dollars. In addition, that’s a billion dollars in small donations - spreading the wealth reaps the gratitude (paying back just one penny out of every hundred dollars) of recipients.

The Republicans made a huge mistake in raising the debt ceiling. Every time they jack it up a trillion dollars, BHO gets another $100,000,000 for re-election.

(OK, so the numbers are rough guestimates. You get the idea.)

Why put us in camps? To what end?

He and his cronies want POWER. So long as you obey the rules (however loudly you may object) and pay your taxes ("go Galt" if you like, your loss, just pay what's due) BHO will get that "redistribution" thing going faster, whereby grateful recipients "redistribute" some of that money back to him (just 0.01% will do nicely). Backroom deals with Republicans continue, buying off the leadership and any other opposition; money talks, everyone has a price, and enough money moving fast enough funds anything you want.

Not sure how he'll fare when the system collapses, though. I don't think he's trying to destroy it per se, just doesn't care what the consequences of extreme "redistribution" is and isn't worried about what happens when he runs out of other people's money. For all the rhetoric, the Tea Party doesn't have much of an endgame, at least not one that concerns him.

Great to see Wash Times doing Boehner’s job.

Anyone seen Boehner? MIA?

Cantor?

West? Yep, I did mention him...at this point in our country since he represents largely the Tea Party, it’s time to risk life and limb to speak out against everything going on even if it pisses off Boehner.

My bet is that it will be several different calibers/gauges that will do the trick. There will be no camp for me.

The Trotskyite Socialists are griping too:

"Claiming “serious reservations” about the law he was enacting, Obama declared that “my Administration will not authorize the indefinite military detention without trial of US citizens.” He allowed that such a practice would “break with our most important traditions and values as a nation.”

Obama’s pledge is as duplicitous as it is worthless. As one of the legislation’s key Democratic sponsors, Senator Carl Levin of Michigan, revealed, the Obama White House intervened directly into the legislative process to kill amendments that would have specifically prohibited the military from indefinitely imprisoning US citizens without trial. It viewed such an exemption as an unacceptable restriction on presidential power."

Very thought provoking discussion between Ann Barnhardt and Warren Pollock
Ann Barnhardt and Warren Pollock have an open conversation organized to provide background to this crisis [MF GLobal and banking/investment leveraging/collapse], the setting of legal precedent, netting, settlement, and future trends including a potential bank holiday. We talk about MF Global as it applies to savings and commercial banking, brokerage, insurance, and commodities. We talk about numeric impossibility of solving the problem, incest between government and finance, having the victim of the crisis pay rather than the fraudster. We explain how the MF Global bankruptcy process will define how customer funds will be treated in a bank holiday. We talk about the idea of having an honest bank holiday to root out fraud vs an economic crisis which plays to looting and criminal activity of vested interest.

This will make your hair stand on end as you realize how close we may be to the whole house of cards collapsing. We are already seeing an unprecedented breakdown of the rule of law in this case, and their warning is it could happen to any/all of the major investment banks at any time. A perfect storm of economic disaster - and perfect excuse for martial law.

“He now decides to give defensive missle technology to the Russians. “

I think it is possible he had contact and/or indirect support from kgb contacts that would have been around the kind of crowd he apparently hung with in college. Also, the russians had him alone in siberia for a few hours while he was in the senate, which I suspect was really a debriefing/discussion.

In other words, the russians have tremendous influence/blackmail power over him.

And also, if the military is gutted, how could he use it to places huge masses of Americans into camps ? Dictators who want power typically expand the military and increase military budget. To be sure, that doesnt exlude the possibility that he thinks he can issue orders to American people and they will go along without thinking it through, without even having to order any armed men to coerce them.

If there is hope, it lies in the proles.

If there were any hope, it must lie with the proles.

IF THERE IS HOPE, IT LIES IN THE PROLES.
