"But WTF? A (sounds like) AK-47? and no dead?" There was a magazine article not too long ago about lethality of different weapons in mass shootings. AK's are not all that lethal. They had a relatively low "death per victim" rate. 12 gauge shotgun was the most lethal,,, and by a huge margin. Handguns were also higher than AK. It was a function of the tendency to spray and wound a lot and that AK's are almost always used with non-expanding, non-hunting ammo. A good example is the North Hollywood Shootout. Phillips and Mătăsăreanu fired about 1300 rounds from AKs at the surrounding cops. They wounded 18. No cops died,, only the two bad guys. And not to say an AK isn't awesome. In technical terms, it allowed one man to successfully deal with at least 6 to one odds in _that_ moment.

We had a policeman shot in head about 1-2 years ago in Indy.

By God's healing power he DID not die and he is making a recovery, slow but steady.
