A serviceman identified as U.S. Army Corporal Jesse Thorsen campaigned in uniform tonight for Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) at Paul's Iowa presidential campaign headquarters.
Thorsen was called on stage by Paul to address the crowd during Paul's speech marking his third place finish in the Iowa caucuses. Thorsen endorsed Paul on stage while in uniform.
Earlier in the evening, Thorsen did a live interview in uniform with CNN's Dana Bash. The interview was cut short as the feed froze. However, in the brief time on air, Thorsen spoke of his support for Paul and gave his opinion on U.S. military policy and said that Iran was Israel's problem, not that of the U.S.

I just saw that video, are you sure that he was campaigning, or just showed up to vote?
It definitely places him there in uniform, it says nothing about him addressing the crowd or being invited on stage. Any other articles???
I saw it with my own eyes on CNN. I’m not in the habit of making things up.
He was campaigning. He was media-whoring. He chose to wear his uniform and campaign for Paul at the caucus.
I’m just looking for more information, you’d think some newspaper would have an article on this. It’s not everyday someone shows up in uniform at a campaign event.........has the guy even been verified as being in the Army. There are plenty of posers out there especially from the anti-war movement.
Rupaul should have talked him out of that or...

Eyes are wider apart on the CNN caption, and the mugshot shows someone who’s nostrils are more flared. Plus no neck tat.........though the mugshot could pre-date the tattoo. A reporter or someone needs to ask this guy for military ID. What military base is in Iowa??? What does Paul camp know about this guy? More questions than answers right now. My gut tells me he’s a poser, you can buy a uniform and a haircut just about anywhere.
He was arrested in 2006? That would have been during the time of his claimed service and would not have gone over well.
