Failed GOP White House hopeful Herman Cain, who dropped out after a woman who said she was his mistress went public is staging a comeback of sorts, he announced on Monday--on the eve of the Iowa caucus.

"Our mission continues, and we're on fire for 2012 and beyond!," Cain said in an e-mail, highlighting a list of media interviews he has booked. Cain is looking to regain some spotlight in a week heavy with Republican presidential politics--that he is no longer a part of.

"....I will soon be announcing a major new initiative. This is a crusade so critical to the long term health of our American economy that we simply must prevail. The first major announcement will be live on the Sean Hannity show, next Wednesday night between 9pm and 10pm ET," Cain said.

Are you saying that because I was never a presidential candidate, I should be forbidden from criticizing a presidential candidate?

No, what I am say is that before you criticize with such bold accusations is that maybe you should have the guts to step into the fire.

Can you even imagine what it must be like, to fall under the fire of the press, your life, you values? Could you defend them any better than the current crop of candidates?

We all sit here and wonder why we don't have good people run for office, I am suggesting that no one need to look past this forum to answer that question.

If he wanted to make a difference, Herman should have endorsed someone other than Romney so that conservatives would have a candidate to rally behind.

Absolutely! We better start circling the wagons.

Herman Cain has delusions of grandeur.

“Absolutely! We better start circling the wagons.”

If we don’t, we will be giving the whole thing to Obama.

There is a lot of truth in that. The mainstream media folks are experts at utterly destroying conservative candidates while protecting liberal ones.

Nevertheless, we need conservative leaders to take that licking and then keep on ticking. I'm not talking about you, me, or the barber down the street. I'm talking about our leaders.

Let me give you an example. Cain's 9-9-9 plan was not perfect, but it was good, very good.

While Cain was a candidate, people talked about that plan, not only on national TV, but around the water cooler at work. Cain was making a difference! Maybe that awful tax code really could be reformed! And the longer Cain remained a national figure, the more 9-9-9 influenced the national discussion.

Then Cain quit. I'm sure he had his reasons, but when he quit, 9-9-9 became just a footnote in history.

What could have transformed the American tax system is now just a trivia question on Jeopardy. And that really bothers me.

One thing about the GOP...we do eat our own.

After the DC insiders snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, the outsiders feast on the leftovers.

It is what the GOP does best. :(

The Tea Party was all about getting the "political insiders out" and electing some one fresh, yes?

Yes.

And there's only one candidate that the Establishment fears as they know he knows how to sweep them all into the dustbin of history.

He will not keep even ONE holdover from the current regime. The people he has mentioned for his administration so far are ALL non-establishment and ALL Constitutional knowledgeable, American loving, people who come FROM the people - like Reagan - raised in regular American homes, not with silver spoons and and entitlement attitude.

These are the people Newt has signaled he wants:

As VP = Col Allen West

As SOS = John Bolton

On the energy problem = Palin

and what if he picked Cain for economics?

Heads would explode! Not only the Socialists would be choking, but the Establishment Republicans.

And the country would be on fire!

Disgusting how this primary turned out of FR.

Very - Unfortunately, we have to stay in the fight. Unlike in the days of the Pilgrim Fathers - there are no more lands to escape to establish a life of freedom.

I think Herman Cain has an important role to play here, and has a lot to contribute.

Exactly, and he doesn't need to be a Presidential candidate to do so. I'm hoping he'll continue to hammer the issue of the economy, and how the Democrats have truly ruined it.

He did his job, making sure no other conservative could catch fire, and then dropping out to make way for Romney and Gingrich to fight it out.

Welcome to the United Soviet States of America..where the Pravda State Media “vet” the candidates to the pleasure and needs of the RinoCrat UniParty.

This “election” will be a non-election...featuring the state approved “candidates”-whose only distinction is whether they are black or white.

Absolutely! We better start circling the wagons.

Crucial - The Iowa caucus will be over by Wednesday. Time for Cain to endorse - and Sarah too.

“We have enough pundits, analysts and backseat drivers. We need leaders.”

I agree. We have enough “conservatives” selling books, tea, doormats and anything else you can think of. We need LEADERS!

Cain should support Gingrich since Gingrich showed him a lot of respect in their mini-debates. (He could have destroyed Cain.)

Palin is Palin... it will be interesting to hear when and where she stands.

Rand Paul should put his old man in a straight jacket and ship him over to Iran.

Bachmann will pout, and if Gingrich is the nominee, will screech bloody murder.

Santorum and Huntsman will most likely support anyone but Romney.

Gingrich will support all of the nominees to defeat Obama. He's pretty much said that several times during the debates.

I, too, was a cracker for Cain. Herman says things to make us think he is totally innocent, but he fails to directly address the bimbos, particularly ginger white. If he’s serious about getting back in, he better be prepared to convincingly expose all the supposed lies directed at him.
