$529 million for 50 cars? I believe that’s about $10 million each. Weren’t the Volts costing something like $250,000 each? Man. Don’t let the government into the confection business. They’ll be making penny candy at $47,000 a piece.

Can you say “sucker”? as in how Congress was possibly “scammed”? Even more to the point...what percentage of 1/2 billion dollars needed to return to which congresscritters “campaign funds” to get the 1/2 billion out of the US Treasury to Fisker?

kinda like this one...?

these are basically cons...with an elaborate, “feel good” hook on them...

I went to their site this morning after reading online about their fire hazard problem. The car is actually pretty hot looking and could I afford one I’d probably have one in the driveway. BUT, I laughed when I spec’d the car with my colors and options. Wood trim from salvaged burnt trees from California wildfires or salvaged wood used for trim from the bottom of Lake Michigan. All sustainability, you understand. These folks are from the same stripe as the Gullible’s Travelers. What a crock of horsechit.

50 miles on a charge; 250 miles on a BMW produced back-up engine. Will the environmentally concerned buyers care to know that some of their recharging electrons were produced by nukes or a coal-fired plant? Naw, it’s all about the appearance of being PC for their lib neighbors and friends.

Too bad it’s a sweet looking ride.

I have a great marketing idea for Fiskar or for the Volt. Buy an EV, get fire insurance for free.

Crony capitalism not only is a pain in the national wallet, but products from crony capitalists pose a physical danger.

The company is getting tax payer money. It's not capitalism; it's socialism

They should have called the car "The Phoenix."
