...no Tsunami expected, very early
(Excerpt) Read more at foxnews.com ...
Bounced me out of bed. No damage in Tokyo though. Must have been rough down in Shimoda.
But, the folks who live in Izu are a bit more used to quakes than the rest of the area.
Possible tsunami danger.
downgraded to 6.8 and with it being 216 miles deep will have very little impact to the surface.
we sure did...shook for a few seconds...we have had eleven in 2011 in Youngstown.
they’ve been thru so much already....
No need for anything unusual!!!
"Possible focal regions for a megaquake that experts say could occur along the Nankai Trough off the southern coast should be doubled in size from previous estimates, according to an interim report compiled Tuesday by a Cabinet Office panel."
bttt
Have you heard anything about a plane going down near Tokyo earlier? I received word that the brother of a church member was involved in a crash, and whoever called her to tell her said it was near Tokyo.
We know nothing, and can find nothing.
Nothing on NHK or Kyodo about a plane crash. If there was one close to Tokyo, it would be impossible to keep quiet, so I wouldn’t worry too much if I were you. It’s just 1700 here now. A plane crash would be all over the news.
She has no idea what’s going on, so it’s kind of bizarre. Just thought I’d ask. Thanks!
My thoughts turned immediately to you and I was waiting for your post. You and our others have my prayers.
We hope you continue to be ok.
Amen. God grant it.
Amen

I am fine, and am relieved to hear from Ronin, he and his family are always the first I think of.. I believe he is on a much lower elevation.

Isn’t this the second one in two days?
Very, very far from Tokyo. Very little damage likely. Almost a non-event.
