So 2012 starts off with an earthquake in Japan, or as it's known in the US:
"Another Obama administration excuse for the poor US economy".

Yeah, was thinking of posting it, but didn’t want to worry fellow FReepers.
A bit unusual, it came in 2 or 3 waves... lasted for about 1 minute from where I am. All is well on my side though... I hope the other FReepers here are ok.

From NDTV:
Tokyo: A major 7.0-magnitude earthquake rocked Tokyo Sunday, Japan’s Meteorological Agency said, but there were no immediate reports of damage or injury and no tsunami warning was issued.
The quake struck at 2:28pm (0528 GMT), the agency said. Its epicentre was located near Torishima, an island about 560 (350 miles) south of Tokyo. It was about 370 kilometres (230 miles) deep.
The mid-afternoon quake swayed buildings in Tokyo but it did not disrupt the final of the Emperor’s Cup football tournament under way at the National Stadium.

Minutes before the quake, I told my
daughter I expected one on New Years.
Father God... please protect Japan.

From what I remember, you have those ‘senses’ at times. There was a 4.0 quake in Ohio today, also.
To: Doogle
One good thing it happened during daylight and they have a couple of hours of daylight left to check for any damage.
