Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. claims Jim Crow is returning. In a recent speech, Mr. Holder said that attempts by states to pass voter identification laws will disenfranchise minorities, rolling back the clock to the evil days of segregation. He said that a growing number of minorities fear that “the same disparities, divisions and problems” now afflict America as they did in 1965 prior to the Voting Rights Act. According to the Obama administration, our democracy is being threatened by racist Republicans. Hence, the Justice Department must prevent laws requiring a photo ID to vote from being enacted.
Mr. Holder argues that voter ID laws disproportionately discriminate against poor blacks and Hispanics - citizens who cannot afford to acquire a driver’s license, passport or other form of photo identification. The latest victim is South Carolina; its voter ID law has been blocked by the Justice Department. Liberal Democrats - taking their cue from the White House - are portraying the national movement for election reform as an authoritarian assault upon civil liberties. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People has even petitioned the United Nations, asking it to declare states’ voter ID laws human rights abuses. For the radical left, America has become Vladimir Putin’s Russia.
This would be comical if the consequences were not so serious. South Carolina’s legislation provides for free ID cards to be given to anyone who needs it. Not one person - white, black or brown - is discriminated against or discouraged from casting a vote at the ballot box. Moreover, the Supreme Court already has ruled on the issue - upholding state voter ID laws.

Another way to cook the data. I check S Carolina's demographics and the whites outnumber the Blacks over 2:1, and the persentages without IDs is White *.6%/Black 10%, which means twice as many Whites would be "disenfranchised" by the disparity which is very small percentage wise.
That’s exactly what the deal is and South Carolina better get an expedited hearing in the Supreme Court.... In time for the 2012 election.

Yes, but having worked in the past for Subsidized Housing (Section 8) I can tell you that non-caucasians get “rubber stamped” into these programs. The case worker/examiner is far more likely to “overlook” any missing information with a non-caucasian client than with whites. In fact, usually they put whites through 100 flaming hoops just to deny them on a technicality.
These case examiners don’t want any ‘trouble’ from community organizers or negative publicity in the lamestream media. I personally was told, upon finding massive fraud, to “turn my head, look the other way and keep those checks rolling” and “we don’t get administrative fees for cutting people off the program.” Even though there was a waiting list a mile long (mostly miscreants but a few people that actually DID need the help but who you knew WOULD be turned down for being 5 cents over the income limit.
I’ve seen non-caucasians come in wearing work IDs from what were the “big three” (kodak, xerox, bauch & lomb) back in the early nineties who would claim they were unemployed (although union workers making $20 an hour to turn a screw) and the case worker would just “turn her head and look the other way”
Not to go off topic but anectdotally, I have a bi-racial son and a caucasian daughter(all grown now; productive citizens, son going off to serve in the Air Force tomorrow) and for a few months I qualified for “reduced rate” school lunches for them both. Same income; same household. My daughter’s app would IMMEDIATELY be questioned and audited, whereas my son’s NEVER EVER came into question.
I asked the school officials why this was; they had no answer but just stuttered in Obama-like fashion.
The plan is to steal the election with the help of the Occupy crowd. Now, if conservatives were to organize to counteract them, we will be liable to get arrested and detained without trial according to the new law Obama signed yesterday.

My understanding is that photo ID must be shown in UNION elections.
If true, does that mean the unions are disenfranching their minority members who for some unbelievable reason do not have one? (I guess they don’t drive, don’t shop, don’t fly, don’t leave the country, etcetc).
If he does it will be due to massive voter fraud which the DOJ will ignore!
I know of several people that HAD TO relocate to find employment;some had no choice to leave they’re homes;some leave a tenant in they’re homes and the rent check bounces.Most leave and have to short sell. As they are turned upside down in a new life/town/moving expenses; getting new license plates/licenses/registration at the cost of a couple hundred dollars, is the last item on the list of bills...

It's pretty much in the first paragraph. When it comes to voting the DOJ has the authority to approve or reject any new voting laws in states covered by the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
Basically that's all states in the South that were part of the Confederacy but still had 'Jim Crow' laws that prevented Blacks from voting until the '60's. Like Poll Taxes or Literacy Tests. Though from what we've seen Literacy Tests should be MANDATORY for all. Even those running for office -- like Dog Catcher in Podunk, population 123, or certain Congresswomen from Texas (Where is that US Flag we planted on Mars?) and Kalifornia.
Anyway, all new voting laws in the covered states must go through the DOJ for review, approval or rejection. It makes no difference what was voted on in any election or passed by any State Legislature, the DOJ has final say per 'The Act'.

Try getting on a plane or cashing a check without photo id, but the far more important right to vote requires nothing; not even proof of citizenship. Holder is a race-hustling enemy of all free people.
