The cynic in me says that he is just pandering to her supporters and former supporters.
Secretary? Sure
Thomas Sowell supports Newt. I admire Sowell tremendously.
I’d pick any drunken bum out of an alley and vote for him before voting for Bathhouse Barry.
Nowhere man.
A pathetic slide into oblivion.
Makes Romney look like the Rock of Gibraltar!
Still think she would make a great RNC chairperson.
I know that things were pretty lousy for me financially during the first few years of the Clinton regime. It was the same sad story with all of my colleagues and friends.
But when Newt and the Conservatives swept into power back in the mid-90's, the turnaround was remarkable. Business conditions improved almost overnight and a wave of optimism and confidence was palpable. I know for certain that our company's sales increased mightily and it was reflected in a nice, fat paycheck. I also recall the days of the Gingrich ascendancy when gas was down to 77 cents here in North Texas.
So I'm obviously enthusiastic about a repeat performance of the Good Times with Gingrich when he again takes a leadership slot, this time as President in just a bit more than a year from now.
Go Newt Go! Claim a big win next week in Iowa! Rebellion is brewing! FUBO! FUJB! FUMR! FURP!
Newt haters are jack offs... you know what a jack off is don’t you?
I’m not committed to any candidate, and there are several no-way-in-hell choices. As for Gingrich/Santorum/Perry, they are all about the same to me, with their own unique pluses and minuses. A lot of minuses! But, if one of them joined forces with Palin as veep, yes, that would be enough for me to go all-in, and support them, with time and money. It would finally break the log-jam for me. (not that I particularly expect to see this scenario).
Before its over newt will grab a shovel and try to dig up Ronald R.
Only President or Chief of staff would do. Either way she controls the agenda.
Brilliant move by Newt.
Bring in Sarah, bring in my vote. I believe Sarah is honest, and only one honest politican would greatly improve the Congress crap ratio.
No way. Been there - done that!
She'll either be top of the ticket or something entirely diffferent.
Gee....someone friendly to the gas and oil industry vs the a**wipes we have now? I,m all in for Newt if he means it...
But then came the immigration comment, and at that point he dropped off my list, and was replaced with Bachmann. I had previously also sent money to Romney, and it was looking like my choice would probably be him since Cain faded fast before the vicious personal attacks he suffered under.
Yes, it probably would be pandering due to his sinking in the polls, but right now ANY candidate among whom I considere the contenders (Mitt, Rick S., Bachmann) would win me over by selecting Palin (if she so decides - I doubt it) --- and now that would include Newt even though it probably has more to do with his (sudden) poor numbers in the contest.
Just as Palin on the McCain ticket really won me over, the same would be true in 2012 for me.
But again, just because Newt likes her and would want her on the ticket, doesn't mean she is interested. To be frank, as soon as I dropped Newt the first go around, his supporters in what I consider much more rude manner than any Paul supporters ever have - they attacked me because I was leaning Romney. My thoughts were, and are, that even Newt himself doesn't want those kind of supporters who only (really) turn off others with such attitude.
But if Newt is smart enough to win over Palin to his ticket, yup, I on board again! --- but not to break some bad news to Newt supporters, when I listen to her very carefully, I got a gut that even if she would consider a VP run again, she really isn't on any Injun attack party against Romney... that fact makes me think, she might consider running VP under Romney, don't be surprised.
As for Paul supporters, again I have always admired the guy but I just don't think he can beat Obama --- and that is very important to me.
Good luck Newt, Palin may be your last hope. Better kiss her nice! (I wish I COULD!) --- and watch out for Rick S.! He's on my radar now, too, I am giving him a good look as one of my choices.
I’d love to see Sarah Palin as Secretary of the Interior replacing Ken the Kowboy Salazar and undoing all the mischief he’s created.
