While ordinarily I would agree that this is a hypocritical, unnecessary medical procedure - in their culture it is hazardous to a supposedly “virgin” Muslim woman’s health to not have that hymen. Yes, she shouldn’t have had premarital sex (if it was consentual), but I don’t think she deserves death!
