Before speculating on Scalia’s reasons, I’d suggest asking what butterdezillion is talking about. Scalia did meet with Obama and Biden. It was in the news. The only justice absent from the first famous meeting was Alito.

I figured they had indeed met - but didn’t want to get into specifics since I did not know for sure. Thanks for bringing some facts to the thread. It shows how falsehoods get captured by zealots and then becomes part of their very premise for their argument.

I got them mixed up. Alito was the one who didn’t attend the ex parte meeting; Scalia was the one who implied to Orly Taitz that he had never heard of the eligibility cases.
