Gingrich: Every Reason to Believe Obama Born in U.S. (Avoids Natural Born Citizen)
Fox News ^ | December 29, 2011 | Joy Lin

Posted on 12/29/2011 4:22:24 PM PST by Smokeyblue

Newt Gingrich routinely fields questions during his campaign stops and during the event showcasing Art Laffer's endorsement, a woman who had been sititing on stage behind him asked Gingrich for clarification about President Obama's country of birth.

SNIP

"All I can report is the state of Hawaii has certified that he was born there," Gingrich continued.

Gesturing to his wife beside him, he said, "We both were with a taxi driver one day who showed us the hospital. There is every reason to believe he is a citizen of the United States. The fact that he's already a terrible president, we don't have to go beyond that and try to find something beyond that."

When she says she “believes” she is saying she doesn’t know. I don’t know either. You can look around here and see me saying, “I don’t think Obama was born in Hawaii.” I have no way of KNOWING, and that’s what I object to. And Palin was saying it’s reasonable to wonder why he won’t just show the documentation.

Since Palin made her comment that we’re discussing, Obama released a forgery that is not even superficially legally certified by the HDOH, since it has neither the 2 1/4-inch official HDOH seal nor an image of the State of Hawaii seal - one of which is required to be on any certified copy according to the Administrative Rules governing vital records.

So Obama is STILL hiding what’s real. Showing forgeries instead. I don’t know if Palin is aware of that or not, but her comments have made clear that if there’s fishy stuff going on (like forgeries or hiding documentation) there’s a valid reason to want to know why.

"There are many people who have been communicating the message and there have been no heads exploding."

Not in the so-called mainstream media.

I don't think a single politician or talking head has even dared utter the term natural born Citizen.

It is definitely verboten at FOX.

One big difference: they won’t allow anybody to ask for an analysis of the films. Instead they say it’s nobody’s business, that Congress’ actions can’t be given Constitutional scrutiny, it’s either too late or too early to ask the question, or not enough is at stake.

All anybody is asking for is a chance to look at the instant replay - to see the evidence and decide whether it is convincing. Nobody will allow it.

Why do you think that is?

Poll results show it is NOT a fringe that is interested in this. The media is able to make it SEEM like it’s fringe. Just like they make Fast and Furious SEEM like it’s fringe, or SEEM like Solyndra is fringe, etc, etc, ad nauseum. And as long as we let the media tell us that the emperor’s new clothes are beautiful - and that only simpletons or thieves wouldn’t be able to see that beautiful cloth - none of the things the real people care about will ever be addressed. Because they would all be too “fringe” to be winning issues.

That’s why I say the issue is whether the candidate recognizes that the media and establishment system ARE the boa that is winding around our necks. They lull us into sleep while they cut down the very foundations of this nation - chief of which, IMHO, is the very rule of law itself.

I can let the eligibility issue rest. I see what you’re saying. But a candidate’s response to the eligibility issue tells me what the candidate is afraid of. If they’re not afraid of the python - if they don’t even RECOGNIZE the python - then they will never be the leader we need right now.

what Newt should’ve said is; “Let’s not play games but show a real BC. Up to now, too many questions have remained unanswered. Who are you when your father has never been a US citizen?”

‘I shall vote for the GOP candidate who dares to bring up the BC question.’

Well said!
To those of you who are so afraid of the lamestream media, do you ever consider the truth wins hearts and souls? This very issue brought to center stage will get to the root of the problem - destroy the lamestream media for burying the truth.

The MSM doesn’t not have an interest in the issue. There are many people who understand the issue and can explain it forwards and backwards and everything in between and the media is not banging down their door.

Everybody knows that it’s not right including the guy, who created the Hawaiian birth certificate, who is named UkA lai Lee. The fact that somebody can put that down, to show contempt and still no interest should be a clue that the disinterest is deliberate.

No matter who can explain it or how well, there is not going to be a feeding frenzy or Congressional trials over this.

As with Levin, I have heard Coulter attack and castigate those who question the eligibility of the man who occupies the Oval Office, referring to them pejoratively and castigating them as "birthers" and even calling them believers in a conspiracy, which latter, by the way, I do not believe she has described. But, as with Levin, I find these unexplained and irrational attacks a poor substitute for rational analysis.

At least with Mark Levin he actually engages in constitutional litigation. It is not clear that Coulter actually does so.

I am puzzled by your statement that the father of the man occupying the Oval Office clearly puts him, the man so occupyig that office, outside of an interpretation that you say is mine. Just out of curiousity, what interpretation do you attibute to me that the man in the Oval Office is outside of and that is attributable to his father, the Kenyan?

I find the point you are trying to make a bit difficult to follow.

You made a post that stood out for being obnoxious beyond anything I’ve read on this site since I can remember. I called you on it, and you falsely accused me of being offended. I don’t need to ‘google’ anything; everything so far has been simple and straightforward. [Maybe you were projecting offense? When you accuse somebody of feelings they don’t have, there’s usually a reason—and it tends to be close to home.]

You F-tard birthers are bound and determined to get Obama re-elected. Morons.

I think many of them are hoping for another four years of Obama so that they can continue to pursue this issue they've become so emotionally invested in. I'm waiting for the "We need to re-elect him to prove once and for all he's ineligible!" argument.

I can live with that assessment. But the candidates should give us some indicator that they are not going to be owned by the treasonous media. Their response to the eligibility issue, when asked, should be that they simply don’t know if Obama is eligible or not because no court would address it.

That would satisfy us all, I think.

The early Christians had the ICHTHUS (fish) symbol so they could recognize each other where being recognized by the enemy would be fatal. These candidates who want to support the rule of law but also want to keep the eligibility issue subdued for the moment need to give the above answer as satisfactory code for the rest of us to know where they’re really coming from. That’s all.

Hopefully Sheriff Joe is going to blow this out of the water soon. But in the meantime the candidates need to convince me that they will never be owned by their desire to be popular with the media or the political establishment cronies that got us into this mess in the first place. That’s all I’m asking for, and so far none of the candidates have been able to show me that. It would be so easy.

So levin is the final authority?
It is not ‘birther’ and it is not ‘conspiracy’!
It is the constitution!
Article 2 natural born citizen is NOT subject to interpretation. It has been determined in many supreme court cases and in founders’ correspondence and in “law of nations’ by Vattel. It has never changed. Congress has attempted to change it several times but failed everytime!

You have confused the birth certificate issue with the issue of natural born Citizenship.

Up to this point, the birth certificate has been used by the left and their allies as a successful foil to hide the elephant in the room.

You are proof of that.

No, I haven’t.

I understand that a presidential candidate is supposed to be born to parents who were American citizens at the time of his birth.

It’s just as dead.

I think there are a lot of people who feel this way. Just can’t get behind anybody, and the reason is because they feel that the candidates are all hostage to the media and the political establishment. It’s serious doo-doo.

If Palin stepped in I think she could have the nomination and presidency in a heartbeat, as long as she stayed true to who she really is and flipped the media and establishment the bird.

I am so with you. I have been disappointed that Palin has not been more visible..I keep hoping that she will get back in. I’m floundering out here looking for another candidate to back.

Really. All NBCers are asses, you say. CEW, I have long had respect for your generally thoughtful and intelligent posts, and read them with interest, even when I disagreed. But this sweeping generalization about so-called NBCers is over the top. Go back to your basic training in reasoning. Some generalizations work fairly well, especially with abstractions. Very often, however, a sweeping generalization is no more than a crude but ready blade in a street fight, especially when it concerns people. It is beneath you.

BTW, I am an attorney. I am not a credentialed “constitutional scholar” per se (though I was on Law Review and interned with Liberty Counsel, a conservative conditional law firm), but based on the information I have seen and considered, both with respect to the law and the forensics, I do believe Obama is probably constitutionally unqualified to be president. Am I an ass in your view?

Oh and one more thing. As a practitioner of the law, I have found the vast majority of pertinent legal authority to be dead people who wrote well and correctly. I am amused at your preoccupation with contemporaneous, living authority. It would be a semantic cheat, but it is tempting to ask what you think of the notion of a “living” Constitution.

Peace,

SR
