17510 at my signing...go Joe!
That’s what it’s been for the last hour at least.
Did any of you guys get an e-mail asking you to click on an enclosed link to verify that the e-mail address was real? The petititon says that your signature isn’t included unless the e-mail address is verified. I signed this well over an hour ago and my signature hasn’t appeared nor have I received an e-mail.
However, I was able to go to the change.org petition that Fox News Latino reported about in a link from an earlier comment here and was able to sign that petition as Experiment #1 (from my daughter’s computer using a valid e-mail address) and Experiment #2 (from my computer using a totally fictitious e-mail address), although I can’t see whether or not my name was added to it because they don’t show all the signatures.
So I’ve been able to sign the anti-Arpaio petition twice and the pro-Arpaio petition zero times.
I think we’ve got a big hoax going on here. Leave it to the anti-rule-of-law people to count fakes in a supposed “vote” to get rid of Arpaio while possibly hacking the pro-Arpaio site so “votes” in his support can’t count.
I’m still testing to try to find out the parameters of the anti-Arpaio site; they make it difficult because they don’t show all the votes they add in to their total (sound familiar?)
But we’ve had a number of people on this thread say they signed it and yet the total has not gone up since then. I need to know whether that is because the verifying e-mails are not being sent out.
Please respond to tell me whether you received an e-mail to verify that the address you gave was real, and whether your signature shows on the wall.
Thanks!
