Ron Paul in 2009: “I Wouldn’t Have Risked American Lives” To End The Holocaust

On the evening of Sept. 16, 2009, I was invited to a function for Rand Pauls U.S. Senate campaign at the headquarters of Americans for Tax Reform.
I had been invited by a friend of mine via Facebook who was a passionate supporter of Ron Paul. Within minutes of arriving, I saw Rep. Paul enter the room, followed by an entourage of several college students.
I immediately walked up to Paul and introduced myself, and Paul smiled at me and shook my hand. I told him that I had always wanted to ask him a question, and that it was a hypothetical question, but I would appreciate his answer nonetheless. Paul smiled, and welcomed the question. At this point there were about 15 people surrounding us, listening.
And so I asked Congressman Paul: if he were President of the United States during World War II, and as president he knew what we now know about the Holocaust, but the Third Reich presented no threat to the U.S., would he have sent American troops to Nazi Germany purely as a moral imperative to save the Jews?
And the Congressman answered:
No, I wouldnt. I wouldnt risk American lives to do that. If someone wants to do that on their own because they want to do that, well, thats fine, but I wouldnt do that.

Paultard and history revisionist, blame-America troll discovers how to get sizzled by The Man Himself
LOL. They are everywhere today. Just like those stink bugs in my garage. You think you got the last one and you turn around to find another.

Whack-a-mole comes to mind as well. But stink bugs is a much better analogy. ;-)

"What part of no man of the flesh can stop any holocaust from happening dont you get?" Ron Paul didn't say he could stop any Holocaust. He said he wouldn't have tried to stop the WWII Holocaust.

I’m voting for Newt - so I won’t be staying home. I was referring to the VA voters if their only choice is MR and RP.

Regardless, asking a question of that sort is nothing but setting a hypothetical political trap. RP regards human life and he has proven it. Period.

Another with a sign up date of 2001..... gone....and I will say it again, sign up date means nothing. It is past posting history since that sign up date that matters. A long ago sign up date means nothing other than the fact that someone signed up to post on FR a long time ago. Sometimes they weren't always a troll but changed their views over a long period of time. 10 years is a long time on an internet forum however I noticed this troll signed up in 2001 but didn't post much. Typical of a troll account that sits on the back burner then comes in once in a while and hides behind the cover of his glorious 2001 sign up date.

He is my very favorite Dr. Who of all of them. Matt Smith - he’s not David.
I agree with you about old accounts. It’s posting history that is important in determining whether a person is trolling or not.

"sign up date means nothing" Evidently, I am almost afraid to post here these days. Lot's of "old timers" getting banned. I think I'll mostly lurk this election cycle. Better safe then sorry.

No one else would have either, "saving" Jews didn't factor into our entry into the war at all, though most Americans, Paul excluded, are properly proud of Americas participation, saving not just Jews, but the whole of Europe. The more appropriate question whether Paul would have felt a Europe, Africa and mideast under the Reich allied with a Japanese militarist empire in the far east would present a threat to the US. The answer, of course not, they'd only harm us if we did something to offend them, like breathing.

That was why America entered into WW II on the side of the allies? I suppose Mossad engineered the Japanese raid on Pearl Harbor and the Phillipines, using their time machine that they keep handy for that purpose. Germany and Italy were so mad at the US for having Pearl Harbor raided by cleverly disguised Mossad agents, that they declared war just for the heck of it. Otherwise, the US would have only fought with Japan. On the bright side, at least he admits that the Holocaust happened.
