According to the latest Gallup tracking poll, more Americans approve of the job that President Obama is doing than disapprove for the first time since this summer.
The latest Gallup survey shows that 47 percent of Americans now say they approve of the way that President Obama is handling his job. This is a 5 percent improvement since the Dec. 16-18 Gallup survey and marks the first time the president's numbers have been in positive territory since July. The number of Americans who say they disapprove of Obama's job performance has fallen to 45 percent, down 5 points from Dec. 16-18.

It’s the time of the Christmas spirit and the Obama Pollcats know it’s a good time to spray this malodorous nonsense.
We, and I mean by that all of us who aren’t socialists or leftists, need to coalesce into the ‘anti-left’ movement. Our goal should be to characterize Obama as a zealot who believes in government mandated outcomes, and who has no respect for individual effort. We need to simplify our argument to be simply and specifically about the philosophy of the left vs. the philosophy of ‘the rest of us’, not the left vs. the right. We need to marginalize the left represented by Obama as the socialist-communist left who believe that all of the ‘haves’ are victimizers and all those who don’t have as much are the victims. We need to point out that Obama never addresses the horrible social ills that are crushing minority children in Detroit and other cities. We need to go for his jugular and characterize him as the worst kind of racist - the kind that uses race for personal gain and who doesn’t really understand or care about the real issues in the inner city. In short, we need to attack, and attack, and attack, and then when it’s time to sleep, attack again. There is a world of truth that in and of itself should and would sink Obama’s chances at another term. Use that truth.
Amen.
I keep seeing this and I disagree. McCain did want to win. Anyone who runs for President and has been in the game as long as McCain has, anyone who went through what he did in 2000, anyone who spent 6 years in an NVA tiger cage, of course they want to win. You’re saying McCain wanted to lose? I don’t buy that.
I think what happened and the polls bear this out is that the economic meltdown that started in mid-September ended his chances and he knew it.
It was the equivalent of a slew of injuries to your favorite NFL team. Look at the Bears for instance. They were 7-2 and in great shape. Then their QB Cutler and their top RB Forte both got injured. Since then they’ve lost 6 in row or something like that and their offense has been abysmal. Is that really the coach’s fault? No one is blaming the coach.
The meltdown wasn’t McCain’s fault. Once that happened the election was over. Just like it will be if the market loses 30% in Sep 2012 and the media starts talkng about a new Depression every second on TV.
When you add to that that W had a 25% approval rating and he was being out spent by 400 million dollars, there’s really no way anyone should have expected McCain to win. And of course once everyone knew Obama was going to win as of Sep 15th or so, McCain’s support nosedived in a number of states and it ended up padding Obama’s #s.
Given W’s support level and the spending edge it’s amazing McCain did as well as he did. The #s tell me that if W was even at 35% instead of 25% McCain likely wins. If W was even at a putrid 40% McCain definitely wins.
And I will always believe that if the meltdown hadn’t happened, McCain would have won, despite W’s awful #s. At the least it would have been a vere close election a la 2000 or 2004. I still believe there was some shenanigans beihnd the scenes to cause it. It’s too much of a coincidence that just as Obama really started to look vulnerable for the 1st time and people began to think McCain would win, the entire economy collapsed and delivered the victory to Obama.
Now, I will say this. Once it happened, McCain was left with one option. To just go 100% negative and scorched earth and make Obama totally unacceptable. That I agree he didn’t have the stomach for and wouldn’t do.
Why? Because I think he knew Obama would win anyway and he didn’t want to be remembered as the guy who ran a last ditch smear campaign against the 1st black President, taht I agree with.
But he did want to win. Events he had nothing to do with made it impossible.
This time it will be very difficult. The economy is improving and will improve even more by next fall. Unemployment will be below 8% and voters will see it as getting better. Obama will have a lock on 95% of blacks and 65% of hispanics. Romney or whoever will need 61 or 62% of the white vote and that just isn’t likely to happen.
You nailed it, ColdOne.
NOTHING is real with this bunch. Either the administration, or the slobberers in the media, popular culture, etc. etc.....
The goal is to reelect the Marxist usurper. And the truth has no place in that goal.

How Polling Works On Voters.

That is certainly my rational thought as well.
The numbers are likely real. This is the age of "American Idol" superficiality. Americans came out in droves in 2008 to vote for the least qualified president in U.S. history; and they did this because he was a charismatic and "cool" black guy. With the American news media and popular culture actively campaigning for him in 2012, Obama will be near-impossible to beat, especially if the uninspiring and sleep-inducing Mitt Romney is our nominee.
The numbers are not “real”.
WHITE HOUSE INSIDER: Heads Up The Cook The Books Campaign Is Underway
by Ulsterman on December 26, 2011
A brief email message from our longtime D.C. political operative tells us to watch for some serious polling data manipulation to favor the Obama presidency as 2012 is underway.
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Not sure if you are abroad or not but wanted to get this message to you so you know what to specifically watch out for in the coming weeks and months. Got word there is a comprehensive polling and economic data program about ready to be launched via some administration operatives and particular media outlets. Big time cooking the books on this polling data they will be pushing out there soon.
Told Wapo will be one of if not the first. Urge you to read beyond the polling headline and you will find the facts behind the numbers. All campaigns attempt to do this kind of thing, but nobody gets away with it as much as the Obama administration. It will prove to be a huge obstacle for whoever the GOP nominee is. And this is just the start.
These polls are fabrications intended to shape public opinion. They are not reflections of public opinion. That make sense? The poll itself will be regurgitated to other secondary media. That is how we did it over and over again in 2007 and 2008. We used the polling to work against Hillary, and then we used the same platform of tricks to use against and paralyze the McCain campaign.

« Fast and Furious Update Former ATF Director Testimony Released Over Christmas HolidayYou have to find the actual polling data. It will be buried but you can find it easy enough once you figure out the links. Then go back and compare to previous polling and youll note the shift. That shift is proof of the dishonesty of the media. At least some of them. The Obama people fed them the request, and these polls will be used to paint the picture.
Just thought Id give you the heads up on that. More to come in a couple weeks, maybe sooner. Been very busy trying to stay ahead of the administration on so many things. They must have hundreds of people running interference already. Everywhere I go, they are already there. Cannot be the work of the administration. Too incompetent and clumsy. Got other entities involved already in the day to day stuff.
FnF about to pay us big dividends though. Might not be quite enough, but the damage will be considerable. Got something else in the works as well. Hopefully the voters will be more clearheaded in 2012 than they were in 08. So damn easy to fool back then. Scares me to think they will be again.
People are gleefully stabbing at them here too.
“This is all part of the re-elect plan. Try do demoralize us. The numbers are not real”
We can sit here and pretend there is nothing to this. And get ready to enjoy another 4 years of Husein. Barry has been strutting around and looking Presidential. That looks good on TV. That is reflected in this poll.
Barry is skating through his presidency because the GOP leadership does not have the will to confront him. They refuse to consistently spotlight his failures or force him to act. Iraq is spiraling down. Who is on the phone with them? BIDEN. Where is the POTUS? The GOP has to be on this do-nothing POTUS or it will just be ignored by MSM. Again, where is the budget Harry & Barry? Sen. Sessions was doing great work on that then McConnell muzzled him. We need to get back on offense!
I will work to ensure Hussein is NOT elected in 2012. I will not sit by and act like it is fate.
I don’t care if the Republicans nominate their WORST candidates—in my opinion, the most disastrous ticket from the current candidates are Huntsman/Paul. Doesn’t matter.
I will bust my butt to work to get them elected.
I know the loud posters and the bosses here at FR hate Mitt. He ain’t the cat’s pajamas, but I’d rather take my chances with him than another four years of Hussein.
Some here think Newt is a joke—and a liberal. Well, he isn’t as pure as I’d like, sittin’ with Pelosi and workin’ for Fannie and Freddie, but he would be better to see in the Oval Office than Hussein.
I could go down the line—I just chose the current two “front runners”.
NONE OF OUR PEOPLE ARE PERFECT. NONE OF ‘EM.
*ALL* or *ANY* of them would be better than Hussein.
My theory: all of our candidates, with all their warts, at least LOVE America. Hussein HATES America. That fact alone makes a huge difference.
thanks
ColdOne, it’s real because the American people want it to be real. They don’t want to have to admit that they are wrong.
Glad to help - Lets just see what Gallup`s numbers say on Wednesday... I think the Christmas weekend messed up the survey schedule.
just wait until the end of Jan. or Feb and folks are hurting bad...it will change...he's a looser and must go....
Makes one think that McC is trying to swing KY to Obama next year to show his “bipartisanship”
