Exactly. The problem is that most of the sitting Repubs are perfectly happy sitting as a minority in Congress. It’s the perfect excuse to get paid an executive salary to do nothing. When I say, “Do nothing,” the term is relative. Being a lame-duck Republican means there’s nothing to do for their job, so they can do their contracting scams, influence peddling, insider trading (in spite of some a-hole exposing that it’s legal for Congressmen), and other extracurricular activities.

Why do you think they’re so scared of Sarah Palin? They don’t want somebody like her taking them to task, exposing their scams, and telling them to shut down their shenanigans like she did to them in Alaska. 3. Voted “YES” for amnesty for illegal aliens. 4. Voted “YES” to continue taxpayer funding of abortion. 6. Voted “YES” to confirm Sonia Sotomayor for a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court. Senator Dick Lugar gave the White House a “resounding victory” by voting for this liberal nominee of President Barack Obama. He may be right, but who cares? The bottom line is we want to move the nation closer to the Constitution. We had some victories and some losses. The object is not to win for Republicans, but to win for liberty.

My opinion is that removing Hussein in 2012 ought to be the goal all of us work together on. Some here on FR disagree.

I was glad O’Donnell booted Castle. Angle and our Alaska candidate would have won if the party had gotten behind them.

People argue that there are already term limits because people don’t have to vote them in. But incumbency brings so many election advantages, so how about “Term-cations” where there can be only so many CONSECUTIVE terms served and then you have to stay away during one election cycle to give the new people a fair and equal shot at it? Then they could run again after that. And their retirements should be capped.

Ah, RINO Lugar, the proponent of the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST), which if signed and ratified would cede control of the seas to the UN. This stupid, anti-soverignty treaty would give the UN rights to all minerals in the seabed, to control fishing, even navigation. If this is signed and ratified, we would have to ask permission to use our submarines and warships and would have to give the UN details of any such missions in advance.
