Having been in the 11 Alive viewing area for all of my youth and being back here again for a decade or so, I always watch the yule log Christmas morning. I love that they never updated it. It is still the old one that seems to have been around for 40+ years.
I actually recorded it on disk in case they decide not to do it anymore. I run it all day when the families come for dinner.

John Lennon once refered to the television as “the electronic fireplace”. I don’t think he meant it literally.

FM radio DJ’s Mark and Brian have a funny yule-log routine they play. It’s from some obscure children’s record.

I’m pretty sure those are rolls of NY Times burning, and not logs :)

Thank you. Very nice. Watching with an enlarged screen and quietly reading. Cool sound effects.
Merry Christmas.

My brother actually had this on his TV tonight for our Christmas Eve get together. At one point my sister stood in front of the TV to look at some pictures on the wall and someone asked, "Mary, are you trying to warm up?"
It was funny when it happened...guess you had to be there...
