DENVER — This is the story of three sports-loving Muslim brothers and how they boosted the career of the NFL’s most famous Christian.
The Suleimans - Tariq, Ali and Mohammad - are responsible for “the Sign,” the towering electronic billboard that captured national attention when it began running messages in September urging the Denver Broncos to start Tim Tebow as quarterback.
It worked. “It just goes to show you,” said Mohammad, “when Muslims and Christians get together, miracles can happen.”
Now the talk of professional football and a pop-culture phenomenon for his unorthodox style, onfield heroics and highly visible Christian faith, Tebow just three months ago was stuck on the sidelines as his team’s backup quarterback. He hadn’t started a game this season, and there was no guarantee his number would be called, even though Broncos fans had been clamoring to see him play.
That included 26-year-old Mohammad Suleiman. He had heard about campaigns to raise money to erect a “Play Tebow” billboard in Denver. At that point, those efforts had fallen short, but Mohammad had access to something other fans didn’t: a really big sign.

Great story, but I guarantee you they will be hearing from Grand Imam Abdul Aziz Skyhook or some such “authority” with the usual threatening Koran passages.

That is, primarily in the Christian West. Try testing those ‘miracles’ in the intolerant World of Islam.

In many Arab countries, these Muslims wouldn’t be considered Muslim, but beheaded instead as apostates. Still, I’m aware there are many American Muslims who choose to get along with others, but they are not following the Koran where Mohammed says “do not be friends with Christians or Jews”.

I agree completely. This kind of tabloid-style trash tarnishes the integrity of Free Republic. I come here for news and informed opinion not Muzzie apologetics. They are the enemy within.
This is a pro-God site for Conservative activism. Feel-good stories about so-called "nice" Muzzies merit, at the very least, a HUGH HURL ALERT.
It's the same kind of offal that the lamestream media tries to feed an uninformed public about sodomites. They pose those deviants as if they're authentic Americans sharing our values.
Mooselimbs and homosexuals are united in the goal of destroying our country. Their methods differ but their objectives differ not one whit. The homosexual agenda must be exposed for the evil it perpetrates. So too, a gullible public must awake to the existential threat of the Islamic enemy, both within our borders and otherwise.
